    The R.I.P. Thread

Don't forget Gordon Banks - he was 30 when he joined Stoke in 1967.

    The R.I.P. Thread

Top player and a true gentleman of the game - scored Stoke's winning goal against Chelsea in the 1972 League Cup Final - also saw him play for Stoke a number of times. Was one of the 22 squad members for England for the 1966 World Cup Finals. of which, sadly, only 3 are still alive - Geoff...

    Top 20 Wolves Goals: 2000s (1999/00-2008/09)

Top 20 Wolves Goals: 2000s just released. No surprise that SEB's 2nd goal away at Charlton in March 2008 was the most popular goal. As mentioned by Dan a few weeks ago, Mark Kennedy scored 14 goals for Wolves in 187 appearances - and 5 of them appear in the top 20. He didn't score many but...

    The Laughter Cemetery

Mexican Chili Cook Off So, if you can read this whole story without laughing, then there's no hope for you. I was crying by the end. This is an actual account as relayed to paramedics at a chili cook-off in New Mexico . Note: Please take time to read this slowly. If you pay attention to the...

    Online Safety Act 2023

That is very concerning - kudos for raising it.

Graham Turner - is he underrated by us as a former gaffer?

One of Dan's best - a superb read and analysis of GT.

    Are we Staying Up

Can't see it - just too late. We will probably make a couple of belated signings in January and the new manager (I assume it will be Vitor Pereira) looks a marked improvement on GON; but the gap will be too big especially as we have a very difficult run of fixtures in January/February.

    Wolves History Thread

From memory (and it is 45 years ago) I think there was a delay from Umbro in having the kit ready for the start of the season (can't remember why). By the way it's a great shirt (the 79/80 Wolfhead - worn in the 1980 League Cup Final win) - one of the club's best ever IMO.

    General Wolves News

I saw this on Always Wolves (I tend to find the site a bit of a happy clapper) re comments to Jeff Shi's message (which hasn't aged well has it): BY GARETH HALE DECEMBER 12, 2024 I have been a fan for 65 years and, whilst this message is welcome, if long overdue, I have to say Mr Shi still...

    SACKED!!!

Interesting stats re GON - his overall record in the 63 games was won 20, drew 11 and lost 32 (I'll let Dan fill in the goals scored and conceded). He had a purple patch for 5 months from the 2-1 win vs Man City on Sept 30th, 2023 to the 2-1 win vs Fulham on Mar 9th, 2024 encompassing 27 games...

    O'Neil aka GONe

I wrote this in my summary of the 2011/12 season: "Terry Connor had failed to win any of his thirteen games in charge and gained just four points from a potential 39; whilst Wolves final points tally of 25, was the 2nd the lowest ever recorded in any league campaign during the club's existence...
