The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

People get SO wound up though. He's just a footballer. People change employers all the time. People are dick heads all the time. So many weirdos take it laughably personally; or at least they pretend to, thinking it gives them superfan points or something.

I know everyone on here is fighting the battle of who could care less, and I agree that getting mega-wound up about Cunha is weird, but you could apply this shoulder-shrugging to most elements of supporting a club;

'It's just football'

I'll remember that next time someone is raging during a match or going on a Doc rant, or saying they want to punch Fabio in the face 😅

so much this. It's just a job FFS. How many of these people expecting the likes of cunha to essentially show suffrage to wolves display similar benevolence to their own employer?
Haven’t seen anyone say stuff to that level. Quite the opposite, actually. Lots of reasoned debate saying that from a personal point of view, due to Cunha’s antics since January onwards and the fact he’s basically already sold, they’d be quite happy for him to be an impact player off the bench for the few remaining games.

The hysterical stuff seems to be coming from those trying to defend him, if anything.

Doyle will forever have the Brighton 3 v him on his Wolves CV, which every time you look at it defies belief that we scored and they didn't!!
Indeed.

For quite an average player he's had some good moments.

The above, the tackle and pass for the United second goal, the stunning strike against Brentford, he's been alright.

He played well against Albion too IIRC, and was winding them up.

Should have flipped him in the Summer window, we'd have got more. He's a good Championship player where his weaknesses are less exposed, principally his lack of pace/mobility
He was a big part of GON's plans.

Surprised to see he has played 50 games for us.

Disgusting he’s agitating to jump ship to some kind of basket case club when Id kill for the chance to warm the Wolves bench just once let alone for entire seasons. He shouldn’t be allowed to wear the shirt again.

He started his first league game in the last week of October and only 2 in total. That's not a big part.
He has played a part in 24 games this season, the vast majority under GON. He came on at HT for Andre against City ( :ROFLMAO: ) I think GON rated him more highly than Andre

Mcatee had to leave the Prem to further his career and now look at him, breaking into the Citeh side on a regular basis. Football has no patience these days.

His league appearance minutes this season under GON: Unused Sub, 1, 30, 13, 8, 13, US, 45, 90, 62, US, 1, US, 5, 12, 45. I get can't tell you how to define "a big part", but it's different to mine. It's 21% of available pitch time available excluding injury time

He was a significant squad player then wasn't he!?

Again hyperbole, not big, not significant, just squad. He was a squad player who we should have moved on earlier, because his shortcomings were obvious last season.

I don't disagree we shouldn't have moved him on!?

I'm simply saying he was a part of GON's plans, as evidenced by the amount of minutes he got and that he was often GONs first sub and that's why there was no chance of us selling him last summer.

Particularly as Traore was injured too.

Not disagreeing with you, but your posts can be comically ...emotional?
