Wolves 4-2 Tottenham: Verdict Thread

A game that had an air of an end of season kick about but soon got going.

Really strong performances from RAN, André, João and JSL. And brilliant to see Cunha come on and silence the idiots who think social media spats with a podcast is important. A couple of boos when he came on but mostly people cheering for him.

Munetsi....he never stops running, probably more than any player I've seen, sadly he seems to have no capacity to play football. Pretty much through on goal, ahead of the defender and just..ends up on the floor...

Finally, the only players worse than Munetsi were Tottenham. They're absolutely shambolic. They're pretty lucky the season is drawing to a close and the bottom 3 are so far adrift there's no actual risk. They look like an expensive GON team, with extra "mate".

Great to see Cunha back, got a standing ovation as he came on
That clown at the E&S must have had his fingers in his ears, or it wasn’t fitting his agenda.

If you don't think Bruno Lage was capable of some incredibly braindead shit, I have some news for you.

Financially it was all in our favour so if it wasn't him, who do you think it was?
Sellars the first time. I don't believe the Jan one ever happened, he was playing for Porto by then and highly rated quickly, however if it did happen then that still wouldn't have been Lage. You can't pick and choose him being a patsy based on what you want to blame him for.

I don't choose on that basis at all, I think our idiots genuinely thought he was a good manager.

Nathan Rioja actually has a lot to answer for.

He's not a Wolves fan but he actively baits our fanbase.
I agree, I guess it can be true whilst also being good at his job. The e&s doesn't break news so his job is to get engagement, this conversation demonstrates he does that well.

So which pub will VP be pictured in first tonight? He’s hoping he’s not listened to the same advice of whoever sent him to Wetherspoons.

Agreed. It's not a very nice job though. I wouldn't want to wind up say, Sheffield United fans as part of my key objectives.

He didn't need to do that this week, he chose to.

Hang on, hadn't noticed it was Bentley on the bench again. Where the fuck was he this week?

BBC take on with the match report headline "Wolves edge closer to safety as Spurs suffer again"

🤔

The worry was that it would be the bottom 3 (as they are now) then a bit of a gap to Wolves... then a significant gap to 16th and above.

That Vitor has closed that gap is remarkable, IMO.

Be so good to carry a decent run of form to the end of the season, avoiding the drop off that bled into the following seasons under both Lage then GoN.

I will add that I don't for one second underestimate Jeff's capacity to fuck all this good work up in the summer...
