The January 2025 Transfer Thread

Again surround quality players with tripe and fall down the league table they’ll want out pretty sharpish.
This would be the final nail in the coffin for us in regard to relegation.
Just keep remembering people are paying way over the odds for this utter mess.
If he’s become disruptive and a sulk then he has to leave.
It’s what players do I’m afraid but he’s at a club that’s in self destruct mode and has zero ambition.
He knows he’s surrounded by awful players and is probably sick of carrying the side.

Another case of player power and a player having his head turned by rumours that a bigger club is interested in him. Sooner this Januiary window closes and we can settle down, the better. Those that aren't all pulling in the same direction can fuck off. That said, our new coach needs to do some real team building. I don't know what is done these days but Nuno very much had a team ethos of everyone sitting together at meals, arranging evenings out, etc. Seems to me we don't have many natural leaders pulling things together and at this stage of the season, it shows.
Yeah but remember “if anything we got rid of Nuno too late” say actual people who actually claim to support Wolves.

I pretty much agree with all your post. Though we just can’t afford to fck him off right now, however hard that might be in terms of management. Tend to agree with TT that this ship has sailed and it looked like it quite early on last night, flu or no flu. Everything points in that direction. Sincerely hope I’m wrong.

We need to stop being so toxic to players who want to leave or further themselves and understand that to the players, Wolves isn't some precious thing that they covert above all else, it's an employer and one that is making itself less appealing than others more often than not.

Liverpool are currently facing having an academy project who is a season ticket holder, leave due to the lure of Real Madrid so that shows the difficulty of dealing with players.

I absolutely do not want Cunha to leave, but if he does then it can't end with an acid reaction from the fans.

If Arsenal are smart and really wan Cunha they'd be wise looking to a favourable loan or return transfer given the mess we have putting ourselves in squad wise.

Matheus Cunha has not yet agreed personal terms with Arsenal, despite reports.

However, Arsenal are in touch with Cunha’s camp and, like other suitors, opportunistic in case a January move presents itself.

As of now, Wolves still trying to get Cunha to extend and don’t wish to sell in January. Only an incredible offer may change their stance. But Cunha is still a story to watch in the last days of the window, especially after Vítor Pereira’s comments.

What does the club expect if we sell Cunha? It would be tantamount to accepting relegation - the financial downside of which is greater than the upside of any offer we’d get now. Makes no sense.

Depends on what they think he's going to give us for the next few months. If it's the same as yesterday and that wasn't illness related then they don't have much choice.
