WWE/WWF

One of my favorite matches was him vs Austin at Wrestlemania 13!

His post on facebook was really heart touching and hopefully they'll eliminate it!

Any thoughts on Wrestlemania last night?

I won't put up any spoilers incase people are intending to watch it on the Network, but I will say that a fraction under five hours is ridiculously long for any wrestling show, and the final two hours seemed like an eternity to me, having found the first three to be a pretty easy watch.

The womens match was absolutely outstanding, mind.

I will find out first hand later this week when my son returns from Dallas.

Taking it at face value, I enjoyed it. Appearances from The Rock, Stone Cold, Foley, Michaels etc gave it that legendary star quality that we've all come to expect from Wrestlemania. However, I was really disappointed that their plugs came at the expense of The New Day & The Wyatt Family who are the best two full time stables in the WWE at the moment.

The ladder match and the woman's match were undoubtedly the best. The Lesnar/Ambrose match was the biggest let down and didn't hit the heights most expected. Bar a couple of big moments (again, spoiler free review here) the Shane O'Mac/Undertaker match dragged and, in my opinion, ended with the wrong result.

Totally agree that the show went on too long - 7 hours including the pre-show! - but as I had Monday off work I wasn't too bothered. I do think it had a big impact on the enthusiasm of the main event, though.

I'm not going to be able to watch Raw until Thursday so anyone else commenting after me, please be mindful of that!

Is the undertaker still wrestling. I remember watching on television and seeing him and Paul Bearer put a defeated opponent in a body bag.

He was wrestling in the Wrestlemania show. However he has had something like 14 bouts in 5 years and at 51 must be getting very close to having to finish.

I saw an advert for "an evening with" him in the UK this year. Would be pretty good to listen to his stories.

Which is why the finish to his match was even more odd, given the stipulation!

Mr Fuji has passed away aged 82

Everytime I see a new post on this thread my first thought is "who's died now"

I remember him with Yokozuna very well. That era with Ultimate Warrior, Ricky Steamboat, Earthquake, Macho Man and early Undertaker was when I used to watch a lot of the wrestling.

Yokozuna was fucking MASSIVE

When the lads were young they used to like the Undertaker. Wasn't Paul Bearer his manager, with the body bags for the defeated wrestlers.

Yep - Paul Bearer was the Undertaker's manager for his early career. They had a scripted falling out when Kane came on the scene.
