Wolves Women Thread

This where I think so many get angry is the lack of transparency and smiling knife behaviour at board room level.
Yep @Tony Towner is right Jeff and probably matty only give a shit that the men’s first team comes 17th at least after that get the beers open.
Problem is you’re fucking over so many good people who I assume play part time still?

It's not really that he fucks things up it's that he doesn't give a fuck beyond ensuring that we play in the PL with as little investment as possible. Things like fans and community are a necessary irritant and nothing more. Decisions like this won't be thought about for any longer than the 10 seconds it takes to make them
Then don’t preach the #OnePack stuff. It’s printed on our shirts, ffs.

He’s an absolute cunt of a man.

Only three players for Wolves Women are part time. The rest are amateur players.

I'm sure everyone can imagine just how angry I am abut the decision.

That you have to apply for promotion in the first place seems incredibly bizarre to me. Is this something that needs to be done on the men’s side and I am just unaware?

You can always trust that no matter how well things are going that snake cunt Jeff Shi and his incompetent underlings will find a way to fuck it all up.

Rather cynically I think they knew this shitstorm was coming hence the suddenly wanting to reaffirm the season ticket price freeze announcement on Friday afternoon, pleases the vast majority coupled with the VP bounce and the women get a shrug.

The day that weasel is fired into the sun can't come soon enough.

For amateur clubs, yeah. Clubs have gone bust before because they've been over promoted and couldn't cope with the increased costs or travel at a higher level.

Pretty sure some of our fans on social media are paid by Fosun to say nice things about them.
People still defending them on this.
Look just a case of honesty upfront ASAP, if you don’t intend to assure financial backing if they come top then at least tell people so they can make a decision whether or not to play or find a new club.
I’m glad we came second as had we won the league it would be even more devastating for the team.
Just a really shitty secretive way to lead people down a garden path.

Quite. I got lifetime banned from Wolves-News yesterday for calling Jeff Shi a cunt on this story. I then pointed out that they let all sorts of misogyny and homophobia go and the cunt basically just said "all that misogyny blah blah" Meta's problem to sort not his and blocked me before I could set the twat right

Just shows their priorities, as said it’s very Mcivellian type of behaviour. Leak it when the men’s team are on a big high and people will find it harder to criticise.

This from the Guardian
The list of criteria included a requirement to provide evidence a club could attract average home attendances of at least 600 spectators, while also requiring clubs to commit to appointing the following staff within one month of next season starting: a head of women’s football, marketing manager, head coach, assistant coach, physiotherapist or sports therapist, doctor, a strength and conditioning coach, a goalkeeping coach and several people in specific safeguarding and player-welfare roles, as well as a matchday safety manager

Wasn't it a player that "leaked it"?

Again I think Shi is getting too much credit.

I do question why the club told the player in the first place given it didn't matter and any talk of going into the final game still with a chance is only statistically accurate rather than being true in reality. If you do want to go conspiratorial it's to ensure we don't look like going up in the future as good ambitious players won't want to sign.

Not really sure how 600 spectators pay for all the staff requirements, not to mention the minimum contract hours for the players of 20 hours. Just how many fans do our women attract to a game on an average basis?

The men’s team are subsidised by the owners with a far greater risk of a financial catastrophe. Shall we knock that on the head too?

30,000 spectators don't pay for the men's salaries or staffing either.

It may end up being a cost, but it's a cost for good. You can't give it all the one pack bullshit if you're not interested in the women's game, youth and grass roots

I posted a week or so ago, 16 of the female equivalent of this season's male PL will be playing at a higher level than Wolves next season. It's part of the wider club framework for established PL teams, particularly ones of a traditional size and heritage. Incidentally Ipswich got promoted from Div 3 South and will be playing in the Championship, I assume they didn't think their male team might go down?
