Wolves - Millwall matchday thread

We'd ignored Cav down in the box for a minute or two and we played around him. Costa down the right channel cuts it into the 6 yard box and Jota pokes it up into the roof of the net.

A bit of frantic attacking play ends up with Cav down for the 2nd time.
And staying down..
As Wolves attack with Costa making a deadly run down the flank jinking past a defender drops his shoulder and turns another one inside out, crosses the ball and Jota running in actually jumps over a still prone Cav gathers himself to place it beautifully, high into the roof of the net past a diving keeper, to equalise, with a lovely neat considered finish.

Wolves world seems to have shut down....
Cav up and getting treatment. Been in the wars a bit...

We've been good better than previous games just got caught on the break Millwall did well there but otherwise it's all Wolves. Costa has caused them plenty of problems and was brilliant to create the goal. I think we will go on to win this.

Playing with far more pace than in the last 4 or 5 matches and look far more threatening for it.

Doherty giving and going with Cav for the 1st time in the last few matches.
Coady looking a bit unsure with some of the over the head balls

Neves getting (or making for himself) so much room in midfield to dictate the play.

That pass from Ruddy to near their 18yard box for a quick break....sublime.

Wolves have 63% possession with 11 attempts on goal 4 on target.

Thanks for your coverage Roy, much appreciated.

Millwall attack dangerously and Ruddy does just enough hurling himself to the floor to just tip it round the post. Corner comes in and is headed just wide.
Wolves giving free kicks away too much as Saville curls another free kick in but Ruddy comes out to claim it well.

Jota with a great piercing run and Costa delaying his run to ensure he was still onside just fails to meet the cross from Jota. Very close, such are the fine lines from superb goals and a 7th missed chance.
Southampton get a 2nd. only another4 to score to take the lead.
Another shocking decision by the ref, awarding a silly free kick when it served no good and shouldn't have been awarded in the 1st place. Poor ref.

SAIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a bad strike that lol. More goals in this they look poor at the back.

The turnaround is done.
Costa with a deadly run jinking at speed and holding off a tackle but then releases Saiss who at some distance thrashes the ball and it's that far out we can all relax and watch it hum past several defenders and look towards their keeper who appears to be diving in slow motion as the ball hisses past him like a small missile into the bottom right corner of the net.
Stunning goal, terrific work from Costa, getting nearer to where he was before he got injured.
Fantastic. We seem at last after 2.5 games to have banished the 'playing shite but winning' kind of game. Another hugely dominant display.
