Wolves History Thread

There are plenty working in the construction industry over the age of 60 years.
I work in construction and I don't see many over 60 physically grafting on site. They might be foremen or managers, but physically doing the work? Rarely.

More rare as former Premier league footballers.

Because that's hard, physical graft for a 62 year old.
My plumber is 73, he mostly just does servicing but he sometimes still does installations.
Lots of construction workers have to supplement their state pension because they didnt have works pensions.

Maybe not site work but certainly still doing 'bits' to keep their heads above water.

I work in construction. Have done since 1971. To be a "builder" doesn't necessarily mean being on the tools.

Owner, director, contracts manager, site manager, site agent, site supervisior, H&S, QS...

So you are actually agreeing then.

Dug through the pockets of my (very) old leather jacket to find these... I'm guessing the special games A and B were the Aldershot and Colchester play off legs...

We really were a quality side back then - the speed of the counter attacks, the passing of Neves, the link up between Raul and Diogo, the finishing.....

Those really were the days.

Gotta be one of, if not the most enjoyable games I've been at.
I don't get to as many games as most of you lot so it'll live long in the memory.

And people still endlessly pissed and fucking moaned.
Not real people, just 12 year olds on Twitter. I do think Covid damaged everything and not for the reasons that wum in Florida says.

We don’t have the soporific final Nuno season with fans in the ground and even if we did Shi wouldn't have sacked him as match going fans wouldn't have given him the grief that Shi perceived was unpopularity on social media.

We'd have made Europe for a second year with Kane out for Spurs, hey I'd even have fancied us to beat Sevilla over 2 legs.

...bloody bats
