Wolves / Covid-19

So, I guess everyone's had the email now...shall we create a RL bubble "household"...

Fucking crazy stadiums can't just open up to be honest (exception of say the bars on the concourse). Few barriers/signs and an in/out system on the concourse (no different than say train stations) no loitering on concourse stewarded, toilet capacity reduced, so only place really crowded is out in the open and nobodies facing each other!

Plenty of other venues with much much more risk are open

But everyone seems to openly beg for a nanny state these days so we'll probably never get it back. How many deaths per day we at now? More likely to get run over on the way to the game!

Important message for season ticket holders

In anticipation of the potential return of supporters to top-tier football matches during the 2020/21 season, Wolves are appealing to a specific group of season ticket holders to get in touch.

The club is asking all season ticket holders who do not share the same household, but wish to attend the same matches, to register these groupings with the ticket office before Monday 31st August.

Initial capacity calculations indicate that it will not be possible to accommodate all season ticket holders in Molineux at one time, during the initial process of gradually returning fans to matches. Therefore, 2019/20 season ticket holders will be randomly split into groups based on household address.

We are, however, aware that some supporters who do not share a household will be dependent on each other to attend matches. For example, a parent and child may not reside at the same address, but would need to be allocated into the same season ticket holder group.

Season ticket holders should advise the club of a non-household grouping through the club’s ticketing website tickets.wolves.co.uk. A guide to the registering of a group can be found here.

Supporter groups are limited to a maximum of ten supporters and registrations will close on Monday 31st August.

Season ticket holders who simply wish to be grouped within the same household need take no further action.

We thank you all for your continued support and patience during the ongoing pandemic and unprecedented time. Supporters can be assured that the club are currently exploring all options with regards to the return of fans and are working with the Premier League and relevant authorities to optimise Molineux’s capacity when fans are able to return. An update on ticketing policies with reduced capacities will be given in due course.

I wonder how this will affect the ground redevelopment.

Well you'd like to think they'd at least crack on with that new temp stand now. As its planned anyway and any slight increase will help massively with reduced capacity.

Are you more or less likely to be allocated games if you have a group of 10 or if you just want to go on your own? What happens if you get allocated a game as a group of 10 and some of those 10 can't get to the game?

Hopefully they’ll allow the South Bank to exit through the Billy Wright lower, like they did for years before someone must have deemed it a H&S risk.

Didn't it explain that in the email?

Ah no surprise Wolves emails re tickets etc throughout this thing have been awfully vague.

That reminds me anyone heard re Olympicaos refunds?

Going to email the club to see what happens if I don't renew (which by reason of age & distance from the club is an issue) & see what response I get re the S/T waiting list - really don't want to go back to the bottom of that.

Had mine over a week ago

I mean for those of us who opted to keep the 'credit for a 20/21 European fixture'. There's been no word about what the further options are (I did ask at the time what would be the options if we sadly didn't qualify for Europe but they couldn't tell me then either!!). They must be really really busy selling all those non existent tickets

Ah - OK

I opted for an immediate refund (not because I didn't think it was possible to still be back in Europe, but as I didn't consider that I would be able to attend anyway)

Ah nah thought I'd stick with the credit more just because as a non STH I thought it may give me the chance of a back door in to a reduced capacity game (probably only chance) my thinking was if they would have allow those that had left the credit on first dibs.

Weasel, weasel jnr and PabloWolf have formed the "best friends group". We meet every third home match, or thereabouts.

You might be better seeing if someone will use it until you are able to attend again. I'm sure there will be takers, especially as it is only likely to be for about 1/3 of games.

You're probably not going to be allowed to do that though.

There are going to be limited numbers in so much easier to check if you have passed the ticket over - have never been supposed to do that anyway, but with a full house there was never the time to check all coming in.

They will be able to now & the holder gets banned so not an option I want to try.

I can see my sig being true then!

At the end of the day the club will be wanting to make this as secure as possible, for everyone concerned.
Sounds like there will be X STHs present at games, plus an allocation of away fans. The outside chance of a small number of tickets available to members if the away team take little allocations.

Agree with paddy that there will be ID requirements to attend.

Edit - just seen TSBs post on the league cup thread, and I agree with him that away fans are a risk issue. I was trying to work out in my head when typing the above whether no away fans was likely.
