Wolves / Covid-19

Which is how the regular season would have been, I suppose, although we would have Europa in there to balance it.

Yeah, think just in the circumstances we have benefited (obviously not complaining). Sheffield United will be interesting because they are similar to us in that they like to keep the same team, which I think will be quite difficult for them now. Wouldn't surprise me if Man Utd get some injuries as their record wasn't brilliant at the best of times under Solskjaer.

"Austrian league leaders LASK Linz were deducted six points and fined €75,000 for breaking social distancing rules in training.

The club trained together rather than in small groups of six and are now in second place after Salzburg overtook them."

Wow! No messing about there!

Will Sheff Utd having more games not be an advantage as they will have more opportunity to be match sharp?

Although if it’s going to be baking hot constantly then that is an argument the other way.

In the beginning possibly, but I think after two months out, with a less than ideal preparation that many games in that time-frame will be tough I think. In the midweek games in Germany this week I think there were more injuries. I suppose it depends how well the players at each club have been maintaining their fitness in that time, but it's very different to proper training and matches!

Yeah, the soft tissue injury rate was up 40% or something like that.

Hell's teeth there was a quick video of the Blades training on Look North last night and they were no more social distancing than I'm dating Nicole Kidman. Huge squad all jogging round the training pitch together.

It'll have to be a refund for me, I need that money.

I am seriously worried about how I get through this, it certainly doesn't include £500+ on watching football unfortunately. I think I may have been to Molineux for the last time.

What, ever? You can use my membership number any time I'm not using it....assuming they do memberships next season

I'm sure there are enough people on here who'll be happy to pose as you for a season or two until you are back on your feet. There's quite a few on the ST waiting list

Going to have to have a serious think then - really don't consider that I can renew given the distance, travel complications & age factor.

Will still take a membership to give me some chance so refund for the rest looks like what I will need to take. Will have to go back to the way I did things a couple of years ago with less home games & a few more away ones when I could get a ticket (though it's likely to be a while till I can contemplate coming up into a crowd of that size).

Will have to check with them whether I end up at the back of the S/T waiting list as a result though.

Let me settle this now. Not having a go at anyone but it's been mooted elsewhere and I need to nip it in the bud.

I very much appreciate all your concern but all I'm saying is with how it stands, I find it very difficult to see how I can afford to keep going to the game. I'm not getting huge amounts from the Government schemes, no-one needs what I do so I won't have much income for a while.

I don't need sympathy for that because I am what I am through my own health and my own choices. I don't need charity because this is a luxury, not a right. Either I can afford to do it or I can't. I'm nearly 40 years old, not a kid. Your life isn't going to be affected on whether Dan Lavelle goes to the match or not.

I thank you very much, if you can help me in a meaningful way then feel free. I mean I'll try to help myself first. For once I'm not being sarcastic. But I'll either go under my own steam or not. All I'm doing is telling you where I am.

Noted. However, it’s good to know your friends are there to offer to help though. Especially when lockdown must make you feel more than a touch lonely.

It is nice. But I don't want people to think I'm sticking out the begging bowl.

Well hope you manage to make it back Dan, it was you and a couple of others on here who convinced me to get our season tickets in 2017. Probably the best decision I’ve made in years.

He’s out and about enough on social media so should be fine.

I just remembered Wolves are streaming him playing Fifa again soon
