Wolves / Covid-19

I agree, over the next few weeks it will affect different teams hence different incubation periods.
As untouchable "Celeb" these footballers are (obvs not as celeb as old Jamie O'hara) their families are mingling amongst us commoners everyday and when you can meet the greatest Mexican footballer in fucking Pets At Home, on the retail park in Town, then this will carry on spreading for quite a while.
Some players contracts could run out before it resumes!

Hoooooold on there. The meeting between Raul and I coincided with an upturn in form for the entire team. That was no coincidence.

Problem is that no-one knows whether if you get it once and recover, that's you done. Or indeed what it'll mutate into, which is why you can get flu year after year after year (and the vaccination each year is different, and sometimes it's ineffective as the authorities guess wrong which is going to be the most potent/virulent strand).

It doesn't seem like a very good plan to me but then I have zero qualifications in this area and at least Chunky Al does at least appear to be listening to proper people for once. Whether they turn out to be right or not, we'll see.

Be surprised if they can restart by Apr 3 rd so that's 2 hotels I'm going to have to try and extricate money from to cancel (at least 1 of the bookings was on a non cancellable basis so may have to suck up that cost)

Right decision though - in reality the Govt should have taken this step anyway rather than leaving it to individual organisers which will merely give a confused picture as some will & some won't.

I’ve been able to cancel a few bookings at no cost, and a couple of chains have sent emails saying they are happy to do this given the situation. Even managed to get all the money back on some flights too.

Get them licking handrails in the mander centre so they can all get the virus and recover

I'm not quite sure where I stand on forcing people to get the virus but the quicker they get it the quicker they'll recover.

If I could get it now I would (even though I may have already had it and not known)

Tend to agree with that. Was listening to the CMO driving in this morning & he was almost suggesting the best thing to do is get and get some immunity. But I suspect this is just going to enter the general population & end up like flu - some years it's mild and some years it's crap. I'd quite like the Chinese to say 'sorry...'

Hearts not bleeding for the betting industry if im honest....mind ya, the fact that idiots will bet on fucking virtual horse racing means they will probaly be showing live slug racing.

As it stands all the Conference games are on and with no restrictions on supporters.

Easy enough to self-isolate during conference games.

May get myself down to the big game of Telford v Kettering tomorrow to get a final fix of live football until god knows when

First one done without problems & money on the way back - will hold off for a few days on the other as its after the short term suspension announced now, though suspect that they will need to extend the time period. Will deal with that in a week or so.

Just got in and read about the prem, EFL etc postponement of all games, and my first impression was "about fucking time". Closed doors and fans gather outside the stadium, or pack pubs.
This was the only choice. Now just fuck off Euro 2020 to 2021 and finish the season and cup comps as soon as is safe.
The Fa have just shown Uefa and the UK gov what a bunch of useless twats they both are. Way to go!!!!!

Does cause complications whatever you do.

For instance Giroud is currently Chelsea's starting striker and playing pretty well, he's only their player until 30 June 2020 though. If the fixtures are after that date and he won't sign back up, do they just lose him? But they'd originally have obviously had him for the whole season. Can someone else sign him on 1 July? You can't stop him surely, he's effectively unemployed as of that date and free to do what he wants.

Imagine United snapping him up on a short term deal at stupid money then they finish above Chelsea thanks to his goals.

That part couldn't happen. As the season will still be going, they would only be allowed to add a player who was out of contract before the last window closed to the Prem Squad. They could sign him but he just wouldnt be able to play. I presume FIFA/UEFA will put in something in place if the season crosses over the July 1st line.

Don't wolves have an e-sports time?

Maybe we could start watching him play Fifa or whatever in the meantime.

A virtual premier league would probably get a fair few viewers

Conference teams still on but the womens league has stopped..... Hmmm

How on earth is horse racing still going ahead? Cheltenham just finished and a full programme tomorrow

It's called joking around. You should try it some time.
