Wolves Academy Thread

He's 17 and only been here for 2 years - that must be really hard. He deserves a bit of slack, especially when we prefer to play big lumps of shite ahead of him.

U18's smash the league leaders, Everton 8-0!!

I will forgive them for filling up the Barbers yesterday and spending fucking ages having their hairstyles sorted. Friggin hour wait to get a simple cut because of these under 18 ponces..........but as I said, now forgiven

We played Ronan and Ennis, so it's not all too surprising we won. Good win of course!

Yeah I saw that, hell of a result thought to beat an academy by that margin though. Those two usually play at the older age group don't they?

Sigurdarson continues come back tomorrow for under 21s, I imagine he will play the full game again.

Both Enobakhare and Ennis not involved so I imagine they will start on Monday in the Youth cup.

u18s two nil up against MK Dons in Youth cup - would love then to have a good run. Both goals from Carnat. Ennis, Bright, Ronan and Armstrong all started

Ends 3-0, Ennis with the third.

Just seen the highlights, well impressed. The second goal was well worked, what I noticed was the winger, I think it was, looked up before putting a lovely cross in. I don't see that with the first team players, that just put the ball in "blind" and hope someone will get on the end of it.

So Bright is still our player. That's good news.

Supposing Ken lasts the rest of the season, I really want the club to be raising that issue with him at his end of season review. I am pretty sure Bright could have done what Grant Holt has done for us given that we don't bring The Barrel on when we're chasing a game (didn't come on in either 0-0 home draw last month) or protecting a lead (didn't come on against Rotherham). All we've done is push one of our better prospects of recent years away from the first team for no reason and no gain - whether that had any contributory factor to his absence I don't know, but regardless it's fucking rubbish management. Especially given our stated aim of playing our own youth products where possible.

It wouldn't be so bad if we hadn't started Bright in that cup game, during which he did very well and bagged a goal (albeit an easy one). Then he's almost immediately frozen out. From his perspective, that's getting majorly jerked around by the manager. I agree, KJ has some answering to do regarding young Eno.

Don't think that is fair, for his experiences playing and training with the first team he's going to be have massively improved if his attitude is right.

We've had the recent ordeal - but he's back now and did well last night by all accounts.

That is not say I think Holt is a better options on - I'd much rather Bright was third choice at the moment but I also think we should be signing a lot better than Holt!!

Squad for Newcastle game (A), lunch time kick off.

Would be great to see if Wolves could have a decent run this year, especially with the strength we had in the MK Dons game.

I went to Southampton v Birmingham last night, Birmingham went through winning 3-2, and were far more organised and used the ball well when they had it but neither team were great. I'd back Wolves to beat both of them

Chelsea have been drawn to play Man Utd so thats one of the big guns not making the fifth round. The draw could open up for this Wolves side.
