Wolves Academy Thread

The right back (Whittall?) had a tricky game up against Buttner but he did really well. Thought Jakobsson was quite good, tall, strong, very disciplined defensively and can pass a ball.

The best of the bunch was injured last night too. I was hoping it was because he'd made the bench for Saturday, but he tweaked his Hamstring.

Positives time; with Thelwell's grounding being in youth coaching I would hope there is a concentration on youth from here on in, if nothing else it is a great income stream. You only need a couple of half decent players a year and it pays for itself. You'd think this is the idea with the plans for the training ground etc.

Can anyone confirm or deny the rumour I've heard that we automatically lose Category One status (irrespective of whatever cash we've already put into it) if we go down to League One?

PS - thanks gents for the reports, if I'd known it was on, I wouldn't have gone out. Oh well.

Not true according to @comptonstars, who asked it at the last FP.

Fucking ell, LOL, there's a Welsh bloke who i have to deal with on a daily basis here, he used to be in the RAF, every time i give him some paper work he says that.

Can I just clarify here for anyone who might take inference from this, I'm not Welsh.

Fucking ell, i'm pissing myself, he's a right sad bastard, loves aeroplanes, he's on a short break at the moment in..................have a guess.....................Berlin.

Fucking ell. if he says it next time i see him i'm gonna crack up.

Why not? Did he play for someone else before Newport earlier in the season?

Surely if he was registered before the transfer window shut he is our player and can play if we want him to....
How old is he? There isn't an age bar on playing...

from what I've heard, Evans has been superb in the u21 games he's played in.

He's not eligible to play senior football until next season, anyway.

Of course he is, unless of course you know something we don't. It doesn't work like the States, any U21 does not need to be registered with a squad number to play for the seniors. He only needs to be older than 16 at some point in the season (post Aug 1st) I think.

I don't know the reasons why, just that it was stated in his contract that he would not be eligible to play during the remainder of this season. That's how it was reported.
