Wolves Academy Thread

Whatever the club do with him he can have no complaints. If they feel it warrants kicking him out of the set up then all his own fault.

Really trying not to come across as defending him here because I am not but more looking at how the club will react. He has gone in to foul him, zero doubts there. Then the perfect storm for a nasty injury as the kid is already off balance from the first attempt to put him on his arse.
As the Academy is not just about football but their education as well, I would be surprised if they kick him out unless he genuinely still thinks he was in the right and he is some sort of Roy Keane getting revenge.

There’s a couple of academy kids get on the same bus as me on my way home from work ( assume they’re academy kids, full wolves training kit, wolves hold-all ) they just swear loudly constantly, just sit there thinking you’re not giving out a good advert for the club tbh.
Dealt with a couple when I was at Halfords ( again full training kit) they were just a bit too young to drive, bought quite expensive bikes, and were complete pricks while doing it, giving it the big I am, and did say “dont you know what I do for a living?” Did reply with “professional prick by the way you’re talking to me” they did complain about my attitude, supervisor who heard it all told the manager “ I’d have sparked the little cunt out if he’d talked to me the same way, he got of lightly with Keith saying that” no further action was taken against me.
They think because they’re sort of footballers they can do what they want

I like Farmer getting stuck into the handbags even though he looks about 5 foot 2.
Andy is correct though the punishment will suit his ability

That’s horrific and disgraceful. Clearly malicious as well.

I think the punishment should be taken out the clubs hands and he should be banned by the FA for a very long time.

Age is no excuse, you can’t do that to someone on the street and get away with it.

As someone who has suffered two ACL injuries from bad luck and not malice, yet it hasn’t killed my professional career as I didn’t have one at 21 but will cause me a lifetime of issues like the arthritis I already have at 31, then I’d be livid if this had happened to me. Basically killing his professional chances plus the fucked up knee for the rest of his life.

Now you can’t have “an eye for an eye” but you should take his ability to trade (play football) like he has done for the other lad.

From experience, the ones like that never make it. The quietest lad in my academy side had the best career by a long way. Wasn't anywhere near the best player but worked hard and did the right things. Sam Winnall.

Mark Davies was always a little scrote when he was coming through the Academy. I suppose he was good enough to get away with it when he wasn't being Sellotaped back together.

He and Bolton were a perfect match in the end.

I can kind of get people defending him to an extent. I sure as hell was not the finished product, emotionally, when I was 16 - most people aren't.

But I knew enough that even if I was angry/frustrated that basically assaulting someone was unacceptable.

Voice is an U16 playing in the U18s (and did so last season as an U15 too) so they must rate him highly.

He’ll be dealt with by the club but I hope it’s done in private. He’s already had lots of abuse on social media and apparently had his address leaked.

Saw them posting his mom's? Address which is in the bt phonebook. Knobheads.

Social media can be an evil torches and pitchforks sort of place. That doesn't excuse the tackle, which was dreadful, but dear me.

I'd read elsewhere that his dad is apparently a bit of a cock. Mouthy and tries to coach the games.

I remember talking to him once at Goals around the time he was probably making the odd appearance in a League Cup squad or something and he said similar himself. Never considered himself the most talented player in his club at any age group but he gave it his absolute all, listened to his coaches and stayed committed to his football above all else.

Remember him trying to 'romance' a girl I knew when we were in our late teens, she had no idea who he was and his candour was not well received.

I dunno if y’all have felonies and misdemeanors over there but doxxing someone should be the former, IMO.

On the player himself, don’t feel he should be removed from the game at his age but the club need to come down hard, and he absolutely must be required to attend therapy and undergo a serious independent evaluation before being allowed to return to the pitch.

Not behavior fitting for a human being full stop, much less a professional footballer (or prospective one, however you want to frame it).

Always hanging around with his bellend mates in the Spread Eagle near Short Heath (underage).

Keep the fucking noise down, children.

We used to cross paths with him in WS1 in Walsall quite often, think one of my mates had played with him somewhere before he was at Wolves so would often have a chat. You'd think he'd have found somewhere better to spend his time once becoming professional but that place seemed to have a weird charm for some West Midlands footballers, Curtis Davies was a big fan for a while too.
