Think Dicko played one too when he was coming back from injury, and EEL played his last ever game for us in this comp and got sent off (was still on a billion year contract so didn't leave for ages).

United have been playing Tom Huddlestone...

Just looked at the 11 we started with in that game and the players with 1st team experience included were

Lonners, Deslandes, Bright, Silvio, Saville , Wallace & Dicko


We won 3-2. 2 from Dicko then a late winner from Bright

Two wins for the u21s on Friday and Monday in the premier league cup.

U18s lost to a late Leeds winner on Saturday

U17s beat PSV u17s 6-1 in some kind of youth tournament today.

Didn't look very good on Monday. Really clumsy. Kandola looked much better.

Don't think any player bar Lembikissa will play any length of time for the first team.

None of them looked great on Monday tbh, even an out of position Lembikisia didn't really shine.

That said, I thought farmer showed brief glimpses

Presume Bueno has the first team 10 days off not given to Hodge and Campbell

Maybe Bueno is first choice LB/LWB now which would have been a pretty wild suggestion three months ago.

Hodge and Harkin may be the smallest central midfield ever. Like having Rishi Sunak and Kelly Jones in there.

Bueno has been very impressive given his lack of first team involvement previous to coming into the team. He's deservedly first choice at the minute.

Richards probably broken again meaning Lembikisia at LB.

There is probably an argument that playing in the PL is a step up from this so other players would benefit from playing in this competition more.

Nah, I think he's back with us now. Played in the last u21 game and got a knock.

Although I think players out on loan can still play for the parent clubs under 21 games, he hasn't played much for Harrogate though.

We do play Man Utd on Tuesday so some players may be being saved for that one.

We can't recall him but we can, as you say, bring U21 players back for U21 games and training if the loan club agrees
