Wolves 2 - Bolton 2 Verdict thread.

We must be rapidly approaching the moment when Jackett loses the dressing room, if he hasn't lost it already. Presumably players can see he's a total incompetent and must be laughing at bizarre selections and in-game stupidity. Confident prediction is that Byrne suddenly starts a game having been ignored for two months.
This is pretty much where we are at with the Wolves squad of players who must be thoroughly dispirited with the management this season. Kenny talks about a flat performance, It was more like players going through the motions rather than busting a gut. Desperate times.
Fans will stop buying tickets because they can see we are Flogging a dead horse.

Those sarcastic tweets when Wallace was sent on loan would suggest there's already some discontent behind the scenes...

The body language from all involved reminds me of when we were relegated, almost a resignation of defeat in the style of football played and whatever is going on at the club. I don't think we'll get relegated either.

I can't for one minute think that Morgan would devalue his own asset deliberately, I don't think he's that stupid, but the way we are going there will be no playing assets worth anything left.

History isn't my strongest subject but haven't we gained more success with the current owner than we did under Sir Jack?

Come on, you're being contrary for the sake of it. This owner has zero interest in Wolves, and it's showing. SJH would indeed be spinning in his grave.

You do realise that the three of them will have a meeting before preseason/the window opens and Jez will tell them their budgets? They couldn't effectively scout without knowing these parameters. If Jez hasnt disclosed these paramaters then hes as culpable as the other two but if he has then I'd say largely the failings fall on KT/JM.

Jackett isnt absolved by a single going on behind the scenes, hes dug his own grave all by himself.

I agree with that post. Also the wage structure will have a very important part to play.

If there is no sale would it be Morgan who pulls the plug on Jackett during the summer because it seems that Moxey will stand by him come what may.
How bad does it have to get before the managers position becomes untenable for the people in the boardroom?

As long as the players are wearing a Wolves shirt, there can be no excuse for not putting a shift in. Maybe Jackett is the same. He could feel he was let down by promises of investment. Well he and the players are paid a lot of money to represent the club. Fans who love this club are having the piss taken out of them.

I think Morgan would have to before his club goes through another season of no sale and maybe the risk of relegation would deter buyers further. I think Moxey will also be gone whatever happens in the summer. Unless he heads a consortium to buy the club, which is a situation I would rather not contemplate.

I think they the players are professional enough to put a shift in, nothing more nothing less which by comparison to say Leicester City is quite a limited shift. Jackett isn't developing players he is demoralising players.

I wish I hadn't drunk so much before during and after - can't remember who did it Coady, Mason or someone else (definitely a white player) lost the ball in the centre circle 1st half then shrugged his shoulders and turned his back to our goal and strolled the other way - I was livid with the bastard regardless of whether he is pissed off with the manager/ment

maybe a more experienced dressing room would've already turned and it's only these young lads who don't have much experience of a professional first team dressing room are giving it longer than most would, many of them could also feel indebted to Jackett who gave them their first chance too and then the likes of Doherty and before injury Edwards who are just happy to be playing and know they wouldn't be automatic first choices in any other team in this league.

I'm genuinely contemplating not going to the Preston game. Just stay in the pub between 2.30 and 5 and save the £24. There isn't a compelling reason to watch us at the moment.

On the other hand, the uproar if they don't offer something will be ever worse. They'll need to pitch it right - which I sincerely doubt they will!!

And totally OT but I had a missed call from you last night around half time - were you calling to vent??!

I had the phone in my pocket and managed to pocket call you trying to get my tissues out.

I won't be going in while simply cannot justify the cost when seeing god awful football, I think my apathy towards the club at the moment is probably sunk to its lowest ebb.
I expect to see crowds around the 15k mark next season.

I’ve a season ticket and had missed the last 3 home games (only Reading by choice) and I’m seriously considering giving the 2 early kick-offs against Blues and Derby a miss and just staying at home and watching them there instead. There is no way that I would go out and buy a ticket to watch us with the negative, turgid hoof ball we insist on playing at the moment.

Given the travel costs for me (plus 7 - 8 hrs worth of travelling) for a home game the current malaise and indifference surrounding the club is really not enticing me to make many more trips up this year.

But the beer and company outweighs that ;)

I don't blame you!
