Wolves 2-1 Man City: Verdict Thread

Delighted Hwang is getting goals, proof that working hard and keep coming back and showing great character will get results. His attitude since January has been excellent.
More goals than games for the side this season so far and Hwang has a huge say in it.

Was it a foul on Cunha, edge of their box just before the free kick equaliser? Too far away for my old eyes to tell.

Watching the second half: RAN, Boubacar, Fabio...all excellent in their own ways today.

He was shite today. Vinny Samways levels of endless, pointless short passes.

His passing is one of the weakest parts of his game and he's not going to be pressed enough for city to make use of his dribbling ability.

I think Pep will likely work some kind of magic with him, but it’s going to be a big job. He can run well with the ball but his passing is atrocious.

Yeah. He got us out of trouble with his dribbling ability at times, but often got us in trouble with absolute brain dead passing.

He was a Dawson pinky toe away from getting an assist tbf.

Apart from Lop, I don’t think any Prem manager has got the best out of him so far - or even knows where his best position is.

Echo what most have said, O'Neil got it spot on and although City pushed us back at points, it wasn't a back 5 and defend the 6 yard box. I thought Semedo was tremendous I expected him to have a mare today, but he played very well. I think he got booked after the whistle so that's him and Lemina on 4.

Pep fucked up playing Nunes, brought the crowd into the game unnecessarily.

Pawson gave them everything and us very little. Don't have an issue with their free kick, but if a foul like Cunha's happens at the other end 30 seconds beforehand then he definitely gives it. Difficult to argue with the fans chanting the PL is fucking corrupt.

For all the talk of KDB, Haaland, Grealish etc, Rodri is City's best player. I think MGW inadvertently got us a win today

Agreed with Tony: Rodri was a huge miss for them today. Putting Matheus in to do his job certainly wasn’t one of Pep’s finer moments.

what a result! Congrats to us all and hope GON enjoys a nice drink tonight. happy days.

Probably the most unexpected PL win for us since we were 3-0 down to Leicester and won 4-3. Everyone played well. We made the most of our bit of luck with the first goal and everyone was at least 7/10.

Sa - did well claiming every high ball in his range.
RAN was excellent apart from a couple of brain farts trying too much in his own area
Semedo - superb
Back three - outstanding, kept City very quiet
Gomes and Lemina - tireless effort from the first to last kick
Neto - brilliant
Hwang - good, maybe a little fortunate to avoid a second yellow and in addition to his goal worked really hard
Cunha - never stopped and a very intelligent assist for the winner

Subs
Traore - thought he was excellent. Gave us some energy just when we needed it
Others - ok, though Jonny looked well off the pace.

GO - got it right with 5 at the back.
