Wolves 2-1 Arsenal: Verdict Thread

First half, lucky not to be 3-0 down, absolutely awful for 40 mins. Then... at last, a bit of luck goes our way. Neves smashes the pen in and we get a bit of belief back.
Ok, it was (eventually) down to 9 men, but i saw better stuff in the second half. Kilman is not a LB. That is obvious. As a CB he is great. We need one of Jonny/Marcal/Ait Nouri back fast.
Semedo hot and cold, Traore, Neto, Joao and WJ has a great second half, and so did Vitinha.
But hey, it's a win, and overall we deserved it. And holy shit did we all need that!

Expected goals

1.56 Vs 0.76

Both lower than I was expecting

But why change it. If he was having a poor game fair enough, but he was playing well I thought.

yes but mou was having a betterer game.

also think he is more in need of a good performance and the confidence that comes with it, than neves.

We have 3 games coming up quick and we got to use Donck for the purposes he is built for. Sit there and protect. Neves gets a few extra min legs up ahead of another tough game on Sunday v Leicester

Not really sure what to make of anyone of that just bloody relieved at those 3 points.

after the shambles of a first fifteen minutes, definitely rewarded for playing a slightly higher line, with more bodies in attack, and quicker build up play. Still wasn’t really good enough but it was a step in the right direction in that sense.

we managed the game well second half although I crapped myself when bellerin got behind Kilman

Think Pat Rice could have got behind Kilman..

for me the positivity is simply seeing the type of attacking cohesion we haven't seen in months. this game may certainly be a blip, but hopefully it's a jumping off point.

you could see the teams confidence charging up with every passing minute. even a lot of the dumb little errors were cut out as the game went on.

Have high hopes that once people click with Willian he will be a massive boost to our season, there were glimpses today of what we've really been missing
