Wolves 2 - 0 Aston Villa: May we never take this nosebleed for granted.

Mine was Cav, partly because I'm biased and partly because he got the shit kicked out of him all night but never once did he let his head drop. He could easily have started hiding from the ball but he never did, and although that's what we should ultimately expect from professionals, it's not the norm.

I'm exceedingly proud of the boys for yesterday but Cav in particular for not letting the knocks dissuade him.

Ivan was superb. I love the guy, his close control is outrageous.

Fact is that you could have picked a number of our players as MoTM yesterday - really good position to be in

We are not a one man team so other's cannot mark one player out - if they do then someone else will make them pay!!

I also want to give a shout out to all of our imports who are getting the shit kicked out of them for generally taking the attitude of getting on with things. There were several opportunities last night when we could have crowded the ref La Liga style and I think we only took one of them (when Hourihane kicked out at Cav off the ball and it wasn't immediately clear that the ref had given even the advantage). That shit always grinds my gears so it's nice to see the general reaction from Cav/Jota to getting fouled be as simple as looking at the ref with their palms out as if to say "yam blind ya soggy cunt".

Yeah, Neves was my MOTM but there was so many good performances across the board. Jota, Cavaleiro, Miranda and Saiss were all excellent. Batth, Coady, Douglas, Doherty all did their jobs extremely well too. Doc has taken some stick for his delivery but he put in a couple of very good crosses.

I love it when Jota leaves a bit on a defender, just to let them know he's there

That back post dink to Jota, at first I thought it was Neves

How long have people on this forum been saying put round pegs in round holes? I know these are bloody talented footballers but how wonderful to have a left wing back at left wing back. Lambert would have had Neves at left back by now and Danny Batth lumping high balls to Diogo Jota...

You seem to have some real momentum at the moment and the big spending starting to pay some dividend.
You're up against a team next Saturday built on a fraction of your budget who are starting to get real traction under the new manager.
What's your prediction?
Underestimate us at your peril.

I am confident that Nuno will prepare the team as well as possible, I expect Preston to give us a tough test in the same way Cardiff did but if we play like yesterday we will win.

Nuno will not allow any complacency - another game/another challenge

We will set ourselves out ignoring previous results and treat this game as it deserves

If we play the way we can then we will be too strong - not always a given though

Don think anybody on here will underestimate PNE next week.

We'll have to be the best we've been so far this season IMO in order to get a win.
I'll settle for a draw as two points away from home at Fulham and yours is better than most teams will get in this division.
I honestly see us as Play off contenders this season with the new manager bringing in some real attacking intent to a team that was difficult to break down under Grayson.

Dunno if it was lost in translation but I love how Nuno called the supporters "friends" in the postmatch interview.

You can guarantee that Hugill will score after we were linked to him all summer!

Preston have been excellent so far, I always like to see teams that are perceived as 'small' do well especially ones with a history and tradition. Nuno and the boys underestimate no-one imo. We are obviously full of confidence atm and playing some wonderful stuff, we oughtto win....but it wouldn't surprise me that much to drop points, we won't win every game, nobody does in this division, but I do expect to win this one, but it certainly won't be easy

Can somebody please give me the full lyrics for the Jota song. Trying to teach my son but not sure of them.

No 1,2,3,4. Song is "it's Diogo not Diego, makes me happy, makes me feel this way"
