Wolves 2 - 0 Aston Villa: May we never take this nosebleed for granted.

Can somebody please give me the full lyrics for the Jota song. Trying to teach my son but not sure of them.

I thought Preston were doing well, then I looked at their fixtures and they've had it pretty easy.

Still, will be a tough game but we should have enough.

Didn't make the game yesterday so watched it on tv with the Derby supporting girlfriend. It was the first time she had seen us all season and she seemed a bit impressed! In previous seasons I have been a bit envious of her team and the ambition they showed (though it came to nothing) so last night I was brimming with pride at how utterly brilliant we were! What a performance it was and I can't wait for Preston next week.

I saw some possession stats in the 2nd half of 76/24 in our favour which is insane. Most of the play was in their half and even when they did attack, we dealt with it brilliantly and went straight on the counter attack.

Jota's goal was a rocket, magnificent finish and Bonatini's was superb team play and a great finish from a tight angle. I think Jota and Leo are 15/7 and 14/7 respectively on appearances/goals which is great especially looking at what our forwards 'achieved' last year.

Ruddy had little to do but he came and claimed the ball with an assured ease a couple of times in the final 10 minutes or so when Villa came into it a bit more.

I hope those people who were unhappy that we dispensed with Paul whatshisname have now seen the errors of their ways. Nuno is absolutely bloody marvellous, love him!

We have put up with a lot of shit and disappointment over the years but I truly believe our time is coming.

Believe Preston play a high press, high energy game. If so that press has to work or they will be in big trouble. However if they can disrupt our passing game this could be very difficult and perhaps have an after the Lord mayors show feel.
But boy we were good against Villa, it looked like a decent Premier league team against a decent Championship side.

Preston have had an excellent start to the season, but if we play like we did yesterday then there is not a team in this division that can live with us. But of course we have go maintain that level of performance. Preston will not lie down, they are a very well organised team who I am sure will make things very difficult for us.

Is everyone too busy at work mocking their Villa supporting mates to let us know how they've taken the defeat?? ;)

Not heard a sausage from any one of my veela supporting mates.

Had this at a bottom of an e-mail.

'However I would not like to say thank you for your football team (Wolves )to embarrass us like that on Saturday ,completely out played.'

Don't often read other fans forums but this weekend is a must read.

Just for comments like this

Bruce has had 12 months, 2 transfer windows and £millions to spend on players yet his team was taught a footballing lesson by a manager that has only been in the country for a few months and a team with a number of players that have never played in England before.
When managers like this are available to the likes of Wolves why on earth does our owner think it is a better idea to hire a tactical dinosaur!

One thing that struck me today was the atmosphere. The fans are being entertained and boy have they responded. The place was buzzing. Such a stark contrast to Villa Park. Very depressing day today and not just because of the result.

Is it right that Jota's goal broke the goal-line technology?

Knackered the cameras in the goal which included the one that shows the fans reactions from the South Bank, so I presume he ruined one of the camera used for the goal line as well

One way of looking at it.

When he scored the referees smart watch didn't go off to indicate a goal.

I did wonder after the delerium why he went over and spoke to Nuno and Bruce and then both captains.

when he started talking to his assistant and then the managers, i was worried he was going to disallow the goal.
