Comfirmation bias on here is outstanding.
And not just relating to a single belief
Comfirmation bias on here is outstanding.
Yep
Why Patrick Vieira decided Shaun Derry had to leave Crystal Palace
A clash of personalities with the Selhurst Park manager ultimately cost the former midfielder his position on the coaching stafftheathletic.com

A first half where we’ve played really well and ran our arses off the assistant manager has obviously decided to go in on the players for absolutely no reasons at all.Do we know that? I certainly don't!
I didn't say it was, you asked how do we know he had previous and I provided the evidenceI'll have to take your word for it as I've not subscription to read the article. Still, just because someone has given someone a round of fucks before doesn't necessarily mean that's why Wolves looked a bit downbeat coming out for the 2nd half.
We did get dominated in midfield, not in a City way with the ball but out of possession Brighton's press was outstanding. Lemina and Gomes were pressed into our defensive third almost every time they had the ball. It was only when Nunes went central that their press was less effective as he had the ability to dribble away from it. But they were 4-0 up at that pointI don’t think we ever got bossed through midfield though. The goals we weren’t really outnumbered, just awful individual mistakes, often multiple in the same phase of play (normally the reason why goals happen in a team game tbf).
I thought about this, but also thought it might kill him mentally so would give him 10 mins. Didn’t expect us to concede a dreadful goal straight away though.
Well this is it. IMO our first half tactics were fine and we should have been at least level. The goal after HT and it all goes out the window. Playing deep or some half press would have seen a loss as well.
You’re very keen to give poor managers the benefit of the doubt while picking up any minor point about our successful one. It almost like you are the only poster on here who is happy when Wolves lose, and all of your comments have to be understood in that context. Stick your laughing emoji under this if you like. That's a hell of an assumption.A first half where we’ve played really well and ran our arses off the assistant manager has obviously decided to go in on the players for absolutely no reasons at all.

I think you’ve missed the point…That's a hell of an assumption.
I think he's suggesting that's what other people were assuming? That's a hell of an assumption.

Plenty of people like to pile as much blame as they can onto individuals they don't like with a hearty mix of assumption and contradiction.
Politely I’m tempted to challenge that. I happen to actually dislike the team most people around me like. I feel zero pride in this, in fact I’d like to support them, but for whatever reason I can’t and given the weight of public opinion looking for positives that verge into a nationalism I detest, intend to prefer them to lose. I wish I didn’t, honestly. It’s the England men’s team. I never pass comment about them as I know it would be coloured by a negativity I wish I didn’t have. Others love them, I wish them well. If I did make comments they would read exactly like yours about Wolves. You love it when we fail I think.I'm simply airing an alternative point of view. Plenty of people like to pile as much blame as they can onto individuals they don't like with a hearty mix of assumption and contradiction.
Wolves results have no bearing on my happiness, however I'm much more inclined to enjoy watching a decent footballing performance, which the last two games have hinted towards in my opinion.
Brighton are a very good team.We did get dominated in midfield, not in a City way with the ball but out of possession Brighton's press was outstanding. Correct. When Brighton won the ball back we were then out of position. Semedo and RAN in particular we very wide and isolated and neither CB helped either full back out.
That's just De Zerbi being a tactically astute manager.
So it could quite easily have been 3 3? But you don't understand why people were happy with the first half?I don't understand this 'first half was fine stuff' Brighton should've scored 3 in the first half and we wasted our 3 good chances.
He'd made the decision to start Fabio, which a lot of fans were calling for. In for a penny in for a poundFabio's hold up play was particularly poor yesterday but O'Neil only addressed this at 4-0 down (could've moved him and Cunha around for 10 minutes when Fabio was really struggling with Dunk).
He's now seen Neto having to check back on to his stronger foot for two games now. If he's any sense he'll start him on the left v Everton.O'Neil persisted with Neto on the left too even when it was obvious he was struggling against Estupinian. That is a tactical error.
De Zerbi took over a team massively on the rise and improved them, they're brimming with confidence and playing with joy.No doubt Brighton are a very good team but De Zerbi has only been there a year and Potter wasn't known for the football they played yesterday.
And I think man for man I'm only taking their 2 CB's, LB and Mitoma out of their side yesterday and putting them in ours on a pure talent basis.
Most of those smug posters were from one person tbf. Who is now suspiciously absent. We have no idea what was said in the dressing room tbh so I don’t think it’s worth over thinking. Can only go what on we saw on the pitch.
I was quite encouraged by the first half performance. We went man for man at times which had high risk high reward and we unfortunately we didn’t get the reward.
The second half performance was pathetic though, and a real concern.
Not so many smug posts as there were after the United game though I have to say.
Don't think there's been much assumption and contradiction in my criticism of Neves has there? I've critiqued performances harshly at times no doubt.Haven't you done that with Neves for years? Albeit in emoji form usually
