Wolves 1-1 Sunderland 02/05 Verdict thread

He was appalling. At one point he tried to knock one down with his head and it went 20 yards backwards to set them on the counter. He actually can’t do anything well. The worst signing we’ve ever made.
That's not fair, he is really good at getting opposing players to pull his hair!!

Definitely does. I’ve never seen a big man with no attributes of a big man.

That idiot Southampton had last season was the same. Similar record in Belgium before signing for Saints as well.

Made me smile the other night when Mick was on about Jelle Van Damme and said that the Belgian league must be shit!

Kevin Pieterswan.

It's only the Belgian league but there's a desire to get on the end of things in this video that I haven't seen at all at Wolves.

I don't think he's a bad player, certainly can finish well at times. He's just another one who hates the club and wants out. Can't blame him, I'd ask for a transfer myself if I could.

Oh really! I thought he actually looked alright the times he played

Worst performance of the season for me would be take your pick from JSL, probably Forest. Tolu and Tchatchoua are shite, but I've never considered them not trying, just playing at a level they aren't capable of. Caveat that I didn’t see the match of Saturday.

Andre at the start of the season put in some shockers too. Agba too, Doc last week. So many contenders.

Signed as a LB and was never ever ever going to make it in that position in the PL, got rinsed a couple of times in friendlies and we abandoned that idea, so defeated the point of signing him.

Looked alright wide left (or even wide right as he played vs Newcastle for most of the game) but we already had enough players there, actual wingers.

Think he got homesick early on?
Very much so and that was the reason for him going.

Basically agreed to the move while his partner was heavily pregnant and she stayed in Belgium. So he was on his own in Wolverhampton, didn't know anyone, didn't know the area, and obviously worried about her and the new arrival.

I don't blame anyone for that situation other than us thinking he was a better LB than Ward and Elokobi when he obviously wasn't. Might have been a decent CH in a back three but we didn't play a back three.
