Wolves 0 - MK Dons 0 The not good enough result thread

A very average performance against a side who will do well to avoid the drop this season.

Shouldn't we at least be playing 4-4-2 against the lesser teams at home?

Thought there was enough from Graham to suggest he could become a regular and Iorfa looks like he's coming back to the form he's capable of.

Why hasn't Byrne had a run in the side yet?

To be fair mate, you clearly have your own agenda with Edwards - i don't think I've ever seen you say anything that wasn't positive about him.

I don't particularly like him, he cost me £90 a few years back so trust me, no agenda here!
I do think he's a very easy and unjustified target, yes.

We've scored no goals in four of our last seven games. To pretend that Dave Edwards is not an issue is blinkered.

I think Afobe is a huge issue.

Anyway gents, speak tomorrow as I'm off out. Nice to see this place still has its politeness despite opinions differing!!

Edwards gave us nothing we needed today. Running around wasn't the problem producing a bit guile was needed and we know that's not his forte

He linked up nicely first half and put Henry through a few times.

Least of our issues IMO. We looked less threatening when he went off!!

Anyway as I say, chaps pleasure as always.

1 goal every 3 games suggest either; Afobe is bang averge or Wolves aren't creating enough. Imo it's not Afobe letting Wolves down.

I thought James Henry was poor today regular poor decision making on promising positions.
There is a real lack of quality in the final third at times and the fact we've only scored 1 goal in our last 4 home games says a lot.
I'm concerned at what direction we are heading.

Afobe tried hard today. We gave him no service at all. When we knock it long no-one gets near him, and no-one has any creativity near the box. So it's just shitty scuffed crosses and scraps.

If he's pissed off then rightly so. He didn't sign on for this nonsense. I wonder when we last went on a run similar to four scoreless games in seven at this level, I'll check when I get home. I bet it was either Hoddle or a bloody long time ago.

Henry cannot cross a road
Dave Edwards is Road runner but not a number 10
Price is essential to stop the opposition

Why are we paying ALFs wages if we dont play him?
Why did we buy Byrne if we dont play him?
What has KJ seen in OJO that we have all missed?
What is Afobe doing so deep and who told him to do that?

There are more questions but answers to these would be a start

Only this showers 2nd clean sheet away from home this season and thats damning

Anyone slating Edwards today is IMO speaking from an agenda, rather than actual performance.

Afobe gets away with murder.
Anyone defending the selection and performance of Edwards today is in my view speaking from an agenda rather than an actual performance in the role in which he was picked

Aside from what was going on on the pitch. Can anybody tell me why the usual suspects in the top corner of the South Bank were singing about Isis and Jihadi John?

I'd say he is probably trying too hard, 2 mins into injury time I don't want to see him 30 yds from his own goal. He's being indulged and the manager needs to read the riot act to him, it's happened all season ...He won't

So which was worse, November 2014 or November 2015?

2015 I would say. As 2014 at least had hope. There is no hope when the manager sets us up that way and says it's ok.

So which was worse, November 2014 or November 2015?

The results were worse but it sprung the board into action and we signed Afobe, Stearman started to defend properly, Ikeme stopped letting 30 yarders in , Dicko came back and started scoring and confidence built because expectation had dropped so pressure was reduced. We still had no plan B but did enough to get 78 hard earned points and made people like me really regret November 14 as 1 more point and we were in the playoffs

This year is worse as football wise we are going backwards. We cant break teams down, dont create enough and still have no plan B. Oh and KJ is myopic in his team selection I am afraid. We set up at home not to lose rather than to win.

No - most of us down there were as confused & surprised as you are

In 2014 we had an awful run of games against (Forest aside) teams that did very well without our main forward. This year we were without the same forward who won't be coming back this season and played infinitely worse sides. To me it feels like this season is worse, but we'll only know at the end of the season

Would we have been more upset if Holt had started rather than Edwards?

Personally I'd be less annoyed, we's be going 442 and although personally I'd rather play Le Fondre at least we would have set up correctly

I would be, as Holt is fucking shit and a fat cheat. I'd rather have Leon up top than him.

Beggars the question why was Holt bought in if he never plays seems a complete waste of time.
