Wolves 0-4 Burnley: Verdict Thread

To be super critical, I'm not sure he gets any credit for saying the bleeding obvious that anyone with a reasonable interest in football could have said.

If he knows what we should be doing but aren't doing it then there is a problem somewhere. Whether it's him or the players the result is the same.
The problem today was 100% the players. Even Guardiola wouldn't get a tune out of the players we had on that pitch. I would say they are all running on empty, and have been for a few games now.

True, but that can happen when WUMs poke other fans in the heat of the moment.
Fans?

Nobody should be told to go fuck themselves.

It makes the matchday thread vile and unreadable.

No I didn't.
I made a flippant "can we join the social media blackout" comment because, if we put in a display like that next week, this place will be toxic and probably rightfully so.
You decided to take it the way you did for your own reasons, to protect "your clique" or just because you're shit at humour

Oh come on... At least own it mate! 😅

I'd rather read swearing than some of the delusional sanctimony at play this afternoon from some of you fellas. Wow

You're not disagreeing or agreeing with me cos you're not talking about football, you're just making superior digs at people moaning at a 0-4 home reverse. And you're about the fifth person to do so today.

If people dislike the matchday thread so much (vital document that it is), surely the best options are to either contribute to making it how you think it should be, or just don't go on it!?
Oh and feel free to drag any post I made on the match thread through here to back up your point.
Good luck because I was too busy watching the game to post every 2 minutes

Wolves 0.35 Vs 2.24 for Burnley

That's pathetic
Says two things. Rui again should do better with at least one if not two of those goals.
We have the attacking potency of a eunuch .

Anyone who tries to defend this needs to , and I coin a phrase, give their head a wobble.
we have been doubled by fucking Burnley 6 1 and managed 5 shots on target in two games.

even our wins this season have been largely horrible insipid defensive dull grinding 1 0 wins which we shrug off because we say a win is a win. We hammer fat boy Bruce on here for his luck with Newcastle results well this season we need to look in the mirror. We are safe but it’s not been pretty. It also was not pretty when everyone was fit so I am not blaming this shit show on Raul or missing players. We were as bad as Everton who turned up with their flip flops this time last year. Doubled by West Ham Liverpool Man City Burnley . That’s 14 points down on those games alone from last season. Nuno needs to pick his game up quick or he won’t be here come august Spurs or no Spurs. That performance was unacceptable to the fans and the owners .

Well said Cyber.
I would think that Jeff Shi is not a happy man watching that embarrasing performance.

I'm not sure id put the first goal on Rui, it was a really good shot just inside the far post.

The corner absolutely needs questions asked about it

Rui was stood right on the near post, Wood only had one option and Rui made that option straightforward . Look where Wood was - he was at a tight angle but it was easy for him. You don't see many goals scored so comfortably from that position.

I thought the picture that summed up todays performance was a shot of Steve Bull with his head in his hands. This was an absolute rubbish performance from all concerned, management and players, there was not a man of the match just a less bad player i.e. RAN. But it is a display that has been coming brought on by bad transfer windows. We need to stop buying players who may/will be brilliant in 2 or 3 years time and then loaning them out all over Europe. We need players to improve the team now, buy 3 players for the first team and one for the future should be the way to go not the other way round.

I'd rather Rui made it as difficult the forward as he could, he forced wood to go across him but unfortunately it was a really good effort.

If wood had snuck one in at the near post that would be unforgivable.

In terms of errors that led to that situation Boly and Coady are streets ahead of Rui

Surely there is a balance. If you completely rule out the near post by being so far across the shot to the far post is much easier?

If we could all agree that every other poster is a prick it would save a lot of time.

As for the game, by the time I got back from my lads match we were already 2-0 down so I didn't bother, sounds like the players had the same approach.

In terms of the wider picture, Covid generally and Raul's injury have played a large part on how this season has panned out, it would complacent to put everything down to it though.
