Wolves 0-1 Nottingham Forest: Verdict Thread

He was stood in front of the away end on Sunday beating his chest and nodding his head and there were a fair few applauding him back. Far less today. He won't get a round of fucks for a while yet I think but it will come and it won't be pretty. I don't really care about him that much really, I even feel a little bit sorry for him, but he's only got himself to blame.
And I don`t think he deserves to, yet. But he`s going to have to learn what players he can depend on to, at least, see us go down with a little bit of respectability. God knows what made him take on this poison chalice. Buggered his future progression in the game in my view.

Can’t find words for this anymore.
I was going to take a prolonged break from here but those cowards that represent our club have me humiliated.
Being humiliated by the actions and behaviour of others leads to anger.
I’m angry at the lack of fight, not cutting out crosses walking around bemoaning their situation.
If you’re shite you need to compensate it with exerted effort to a point you’re physically exhausted at full time.
Remember Saiss at Boro in 2018 couldn’t move at full time because he’d run himself so hard into the ground defending with 9 men.
Any of these lot going to do that?
Jackson, Wolfe, Hwang, Munetsi, JRB etc just should not be here.
Pressure? It’s not real life pressure and being shit and earning 60k a week playing sport is a luxury.
The situation has gone from can we stay up? No
Can we get to 20 points? No
Can we beat 11 points? 50/50
Can we win a game?
Can we score a goal?
As for Rob yes these players are terrible and he’s lost 0-2, 0-1, 0-1 but he’s still lost them all. The brief seems to be stay in the game then try and nick something, this rapidly falls apart once we inevitably concede as in all 3 games with conceded at virtually identical times and looked equally clueless of getting back into a game.
Arsenal a week Saturday, the biggest I’ve seen us lose is 6-0 I think that’s at a risk of being broken.

Let's be honest, has he actually shown that much in his career so far that you'd be confident that he had a future progression at all?

Edwards took the job on for the money, I’d guess we’re paying him more than Boro did.
I’m not having the love of the club, lifelong dream etc etc shit he came out with

Almost feels pointless making comments or analysing the players given we are going down - probably with a record low points total - disgraced, not to be seen for years and years and years… BUT I’ll try and say SOMETHING.

Arias has had a woeful start to his career here, but I thought he was the best of a bad bunch in that he showed for the ball - actually ran forwards with it - and showed some (justified) frustration at the lack of endeavour or urgency from his teammates. Of course, he has to score his header - but disagree with the earlier comment from Dan about him being “weak”. He’s not the biggest of lads but he’s harder to knock off the ball than a number of our other players combined. That’s about it as far as positives go (I suppose Agbadou was OK but he still lost out in the air for their goal).

Hwang was a disgrace when he came on. He should be ripped apart for the lack of any kind of effort to block the cross or close the man down for their goal. Obviously Johnstone was shite, but if Hwang had tried, maybe the cross doesn’t come in. Pathetic all around.

Joao Gomes, Andre, JSL. Maybe I’m being harsh, but it seems like none of them want to be here, given they’re all playing so far below what we know they’re capable of. JSL put in a genuine 0/10. Yes, he has no service - but Tolu won more headers in a 10 minute cameo than JSL did across the 90.

Wolfe, Jackson, Toti… I just don’t think any of them are good enough, although Wolfe and Toti at least TRIED.

We’re losing potentially 5 players in a couple of weeks (I think). You look at the options on the bench today and the performance from the 11 starters and somehow, I feel it only gets worse from here.

This has just flashed up whilst I was hovering over the post button:

Wolves have now registered the worst ever start to a Premier League season. 📉

The club have equalled Sheffield United (20/21) with two points picked up after 14 games, however Wolves are five goal worse off.

Bed.

We’ve got three keepers who are amongst the worst in the PL
We’ve got five WBs that are all hugely deficient in either defending, attacking or both.
We have two Braziliann CMs who individually are fine but don’t work together as they haven’t got a creative bone in their bodies.
We’ve got a number of wide forwards that can’t dribble, pass or shoot.
We’ve got two tall forwards. One can’t win a header and the other can win the odd header but do little else.

We’ll go down in history as an example of how you can spend millions but if it’s spent by idiots you get next to bugger all for it. I used to think Fosun’s Plan B was sell loads of players if we got relegated. Good luck with that, they won’t be able to give most of them away.

7 defeats in a row
No win in 18 league games
Not scored in last 5 games
1 away goal all season

We're a fucking disgrace and fully deserve to go down breaking Derbys 'record'

Honestly mate I couldn't disagree more.

He properly hides. Stands behind opponents where he can't possibly receive the ball. And he is weak, I thought when we signed him that he'd basically be a better version of Ivan Cavaleiro - but Cav was as strong as an ox. This bloke gets run off it all the time.

As slow as James Henry at running with the ball and a truly atrocious finisher.

Awful. Awful awful awful. One of many who I'd gladly never watch ever again.

Sam Allardyce, would at least get us points.
Agree 100%

Even Dyche would’ve kept us up tbh.

At this point we all know we’re heading down. The most important thing is doing so with some fucking dignity & creating a platform to bounce back.

I don’t care what anyone else says, Edwards is a glorified PR agent who’ll do a Luton with us if he’s left in the job too long.

Can see us not picking up a single point in the rest of December, looking at the fixture list.

Need to reset in January, gaffer included.

Just to add we’ve scored more cup goals in 3 games than we have league goals in 14 games. We will win more cup games this season than league games and that will still apply if we go out in the 3rd round of the FA cup.

Well. hmm yes but he was on an upward trajectory with Middlesbro. Coming to a basket case like us can only mean he didn`t do his homework, love for the Club or not. I`m not confident, but I am prepared to give him a few weeks before condemning him.

Have you ever seen so many professional players fail to make such simple passes so many times in one game?
Have you ever seen players make so many wrong decisions consistently when in the attacking 3rd?

Dyche wouldn’t have kept us up. He’d have done better than RE undoubtedly but nobody would keep this group of players up. Forest, Anderson excepted, were poor, sadly poor is enough to ensure a win against us at the moment.

I get the anger (I'm with you) but Sam Allardyce, who last had a good season anywhere in 2016/17? Who relegated Albion by miles, from a far better position than we're in now? 71 year old Sam Allardyce? Whose best days were 20+ years ago at Bolton?

Don't be fucking silly.
He’d be better than what we have, I haven’t been comfortable with Edwards from the start, he hasn’t done it to us but he’s shown behaviour that displays you can’t trust the man. I heard on the grapevine a couple of things that happened at Luton with a players wife. I don’t want that sort of character here.

Fuck off.

You aren't convincing anyone he scored.

Records I think we’ll break:
Lowest points tally
Longest run without a win
Fewest goals scored
Most defeats in one season
