Well done to Rob Edwards as he certainly has us more organised and willing to compete every week.

Plenty of decent performances although he shouldn’t be scared to take Mane out of the firing line when it’s not going for him.

Andre MOTM.

I'd have taken that at the start of the season and I'd certainly take it now. Draw was a fair result. Newcastle had more of the play second half but didn't create much.

They threw a few early balls into the box early on and we looked as though we could concede at any point however kudos to Eddie Howe for abandoning that plan for the next 75 minutes.

That's a dreadful game of football. But happy to take any points we can get.

I still cannot fathom how the hell we designed this squad - we spent enough on it - and we get in possession and have absolutely no threat because there is very little pace, even less skill and so many defensive players on show. But we are where we are.

The midfield two, Mosquera (crazy bastard, but I like it) and yes, Tchatchoua (read it and weep) the best on show.

We shouldn't break Derby's record now, in fact we shouldn't finish below Burnley.

Yerson MOTM IMO.

Shite game of football. Shame we couldn’t muster a winner.

Mane is going to have days like today where he's not in the game and/or things don't come off for him. Edwards earns his corn by throwing an arm around him bringing him off not leaving him out there.

Unless Gomes had a knock I would've taken Mane off as it left a chasm in the middle of the park, didn't cost us but could've.

The Hwang love in continues to bemuse and enrage. Offered very little in the first half and even less in the second.

Yerson is a madman. I enjoy his expeditions into attack.

Our corners are an absolute disgrace.

Still a total lack of creativity and pace so we will continue to struggle at the top end even if we have turned the taps off at the back.

I'm one who does often go for Tchatchoua but yep, he was fine. Defensively solid enough for once, in the first half I thought he did go backwards (again) too much but overall he didn't look out of place, did well. Mosquera was good too and did a lot of driving the ball forwards.

Mane tried to do too much today, nothing really worked for him. I like how he is always trying to create but he was frustrated today, Hall was really good at nullifying him.

Only weak link was Hwang who I forgot was playing in the second half, a complete passenger. Midfield two did excellently to win the ball but there's just no creativity and no attacking options, where we fall short.

Point is fair and a decent result from a terrible game. Respectable result and another point towards a respectable finish.

I also forgot Hwang was playing until about 80 minutes in when he miscontrolled a ball 5 yards.

I don't particularly like Bellegarde with his Phoebe from Friends running but that's an obvious change when he's back, or Rodrigo.

JT'S best game by far!

Some good performances out there, Hwang didn't even actively hamstring us for once either!

Of course it wasn't meant, but it made me laugh that Trippier smacked the ball into Mane's bollocks and then 2 mins later Mane stamped on his head.

Two of Newcastle's periods of attacking play came from Sa being a moron. One needless punch when he could have caught it without even jumping, and one rubber leg kick right into the middle of the park.

Four months and counting until I never have to watch the lantern jawed prick play again.

We played as well as we could have expected. Defence was pretty solid. Still the weakest link is Hwang - just don’t know what he does in training to keep his place. Mane , I know he’s still young and not to criticise him too much but several times a forward pass to him to run onto was there but he doesn’t want it , prefers it to his feet. A few tough games coming up but hey you never know

Decent result all round, too little too late obviously but its nice to have at least a competitive team.
Everyone maintained the recent level, Tchatchoua was actually pretty good defensively, shame he shits himself when he crosses the half way line.
I'm starting to fall for Mosquera, gives 100%, bit barmy, bit of shithouseing when required, love his rampaging forward. I was absolutely raging at his yellow, tackle was clean as a whistle, I'm convinced his, Joao and Andre 'reputation' means they get penalised rather than the actual incidents.
Mane wasnt effective today but you expect that now and again. He miscontrolled 3 touches in a row and seemed to lose a bit of confidence, he should be given a game starting on the bench but we dont have any alternatives.

Tchatchoua was ok. I mean he only dribbled it straight out of play once and he did well to cover behind his centre backs. But he was getting pelters from fans in the ground and his own teammates for being too tentative and for his positioning. Maybe one of those that didn't come across on TV.

We definitely look a lot better now, Edwards is getting a lot more out of the squad than Vitor was able to. We're still a bad side, and we're still nailed on for relegation but they've actually looked like they give a shit over the past few games. Dare I say that we look a little bit fitter as well?

Sure, we didn't do nearly enough to win (and this won't be the only time this happens due to the dreadful lack of creativity in the squad), but crucially we didn't deserve to lose either - we have to take that as an improvement.

Rubbish game, and it shows how bad this season has been that I actually quite enjoyed watching it as we weren't totally outclassed.
