Really? Saville highly rated? I bet you could count the number of people on one hand who'd heard of him let alone highly rated him, and somebody thought he was worth £1m. That's poor, I'll give you Rowe and you could say he's been unlucky, but then again I think KJ has used him poorly. Nobody had a clue about VLP and none of the signings addressed the weakness up front or the cover wide left.
And if KJ knew already that Edwards was the preferred option behind the front man then it's staggering that we didn't buy a player in that position. All in all iwouldxsay it is a poor start to the championship for the recruitment team.
On Saville: he was good for Brentford last season and being heard of by the general public =/= being highly rated by the people who matter.
On Rowe: was probably originally planned to be the left wing cover you mention. Also this is pretty clearly where KJ saw Jacobs to be used even though he hasn't performed at all (and I don't at all understand your crystal ball interpretation of KJ's "misuse" of Jacobs).
I'm pretty flabbergasted that you continue to speak about the Edwards situation as if you know exactly what Jackett wants now and has always wanted. It's incredibly presumptive and I don't think any of us are ITK enough to say things like that one way or another.
