i listened to laughing stock a while back but don't have a copy of the album at the moment.

i only have one GY!BE album but i have a lot of post rock stuff so never really felt the need to keep going. skinny fists is acclaimed so always meant to get that as well as F#A#

I only have Laughing Stock of those mentioned so have been using You Tube. I'll be buying Skinny Fists though as I thought it was excellent. Mogwaiesque to start off with but really varied across the whole album.

Lovely singer-songwriter from the states called Lily Kershaw. Marlboro Man.

I've gotten into a lot of the music off of Sons of Anarchy lately. A lot of older songs that have been rearranged, love the take on Girl From The North Country originally by Dylan and Cash.

Yesterday, I listened to Lemon Jelly for the first time (the band, not TWF poster....). Enjoyable.

Today, I'm listening to Horses by Patti Smith. Not heard it in years but it's fucking awesome.

Spotify really is great!

Yeah, he goes on a bit, him :icon_wink:

Roger Waters - The Wall (Live)

From the tour I saw him a couple of years ago. Astonishing sound quality, you forget it's being performed live because it's so impressive. It was even better as a spectacle. This was just the first song:

Just listened to Plaid's pre-release from their forthcoming LP. Instantly added to my 'will get' list.

Queen's debut album. I don't think I've heard it since I was about 10.

Not many well known tracks on it but bloody hell it's good. Really impressive.

Early queen is the bomb. Now I'm Here, Stone Cold Crazy, Tie Your Mother Down. Fantastic stuff.
Remember having a really long argument with a mate who felt they hadn't done a great album since Jazz.

That's harsh - The Works is pretty damn good. As is A Kind of Magic.

Neither of them hold a candle to News of the World or Sheer Heart Attack though.

Oh I agree pad. Indeed I think Innuendo is a really good album too. And One Vision is an amazing song.

Middle Queen isn't their best but the early stuff is amazing.

I also think Made In Heaven is one of the most beautiful albums ever made. Quite a labour of love.

I hated Hot Space. Absolutely hated it. Apart from that most of Queen's output is very good indeed. There are great tracks on both The Miracle and Innuendo for a start.
