What are you currently listening to....

It dropped off a bit after the blistering opener and the monologues were a bit pretentious but it certainly lived up to its name. I can hear bits of all kinds of modern post-hardcore in there.

New Noise is toe-curlingly good.

Downloaded Blur's new album last night. Time to give it a whirl.

Was driving around for work this morning so had Belle & Sebastian's If You're Feeling Sinister on. Such a good album. (Any comparisons between me and a pale nervous student girl will probably be quite accurate)

Faith No More - Angel Dust.

Apparently the above & also The Real Thing are getting re-released with extras.

On a bit of a late 90's theme at the moment.
Yesterday I played Deserters Songs by Mercury Rev.
This morning, How to Operate with a Blown Mind by the Lo-Fidelity Allstars.

Today's album of the day:

Holds up pretty well. Came out nine years ago yesterday, not sure where that time has gone...

Todays and yesterdays walks to work and back have been spent listening to Elastica and REM's 'Monster'.

Got a couple of free downloads in the last few week.. A band called Careless Sons (a bit "early Manics") and a band called Lux Lisbon.. Not too bad though my taste in music is quite broad... This could go in the Election Thread but thought I'd stick it here as I'm listening to the album at the moment...

No video to show but young master Wombat directed me towards the quite immense SYLOSIS. Supreme technical British Death Metal. For the noisier end of the forum fans, I strongly recommend you check them out. For Sue, and everyone else, probably not completely essential listening.
