What are you currently listening to....

Shangri la, Jake Bugg's latest album.

Fuck off!!!

Having a nostalgic moment...listening to Tom Robinson -2-4-6-8 Motorway
followed by
The Motors -You beat the hell outta me.

That's my pal, Bram Tchaikovsky!
Top man, who has sworn never to pick up a guitar ever again. His latest performance was him, Mickey Broadbent (late of the Bram Tchaikovsky Band) and me singing 'Good Vibrations', with me on a very nasty piano, in 'The Blacksmith's Arms', Skendleby, about four years ago.

'The Motors' certainly were a great live band.

An 'Old Grey Whistle Test' compilation - some good stuff & some that need to be skipped past.

Had Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company & Fleetwood Mac & still have Warren Zevron's Werewolves, plus some Santana, Free, Clapton & Plant to come.

Listened to 'Let it Be...Naked' on the way to work. It is so much better than the original IMO. The tracklisting is better, Phil Spector's annoyong over production has been removed and it just has a much better feel to it than the original. It is one of my favourite Beatles albums.

The new Lacuna Coil album. I bought it a little while back and never got around to listening to it. Shame really, it's great.

Yeah I remember seeing him play an acoustic show and he started playing some of his thrash songs on his acoustic guitar!

Not a Ryan Adams fan but loved his hardcore punk side band with Jesse Malin (another old hardcore face) called The Finger...think, cos the lp was pretty scarce it went under the radar somewhat.

Lying in bed listening to thunder rumbling in the distance.

Love this sound.

I'm quite emabarressed about this.

I heard Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John last week and I can't stop singing it.

Quick - put another tune in my head!

'When are you going to come down? When are you going to land? I should of stayed on the farm, I should of listened to my old man.........."

Thanks, now I'm singing it :buttkick1:

Just rediscovered Yoshimi by Flaming Lips.

I used to love that song so much and it seems to have got better with age.

Sorry for the late reply tredman, as you know, I only recently joined the forum so still rummaging through the threads. Did you see them live with their bunny outfits and inflatables ? :)
I bought that album when it came out and saw them at the old Academy in B'ham. (Think they were supported by British Sea Power ?) Yoshimi is such a unique sounding album. Have you heard / got The Soft Bulletin ? A couple of really good tracks on there too.

Nothing to be embarrassed about Hereford Wolf. Great tune. Proper song and well written. Elton was great in the 70's.
Played Tiny Dancer at the weekend, never get tired of that one, or Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting. Love it.
