West Ham (A) Build Up and Matchday Thread

Traore with the winner, tight game - expect them to sit back.

Such a long day & there is still over 3 & 1/2 hrs to go.

Man for man we are better than them - would love to see a 6 - 0 win for us to put a nail in their coffin, but more likely to be by no more than 1 goal. Still think that we will win.

First ten minutes will tell us a lot. Difference in fitness between teams is already very evident. My two shillings and sixpence will be on a 3-1 win

Not necessarily. We're notorious slow starters and second half performances are usually better.

If you saw the first 15mins of Norwich v Southampton you wouldnt have predicted a piss easy away win. Soton hardly touched the ball and looked lost

I remember playing both of those teams away and looking utterly rubbish in the first half. We won them both.

I know Nuno knows best, but not happy with that. We shouldn't be showing West Ham that much respect.

Not surprised, Donck in for the running. Hopefully opportunities to break against their centre backs through Diogo and a Raúl.

People just like being upset, they’ve got nothing better to do

Don't blame Nuno with the ground Dendoncker covers it could be crucial plus we have a lot of pace on the bench to run at tired legs.

Haller not starting for the World Cup winners.

That’s a bit harsh - some of us think we’re better with the three than the two - and given that Raul and Adama have scored and assisted more goals for each other than any other two players in the premier league, they’re pretty effective....

5 subs allowed so Traore will be on at some point depending on how the game goes - get a platform first then just go for the jugular

I wonder if part of it is having Traore available to sub for Doc if he's flagging 2nd half. WBs always get asked to do a lot anyway so if they're not completely fit they'll likely need subbing.

It’s as expected from Nuno. Keep it tight, try and get a goal, pace to come on if needed. A tried and tested strategy but has being letting us down as we keep giving away soft goals.

Depends how we play depends on whether I agree or not [emoji1787]

Traore will be nice to put on against a somewhat tiring oppostition, but the 5 subs talks against that if they use that option

Maybe, but after three months of no football if your mentality is your first thought at seeing the team is to pick holes in it (the team Nuno has selected is a very good one regardless, let’s remember) then I just find it a bit sad. Each to their own though!

Surprised Ngakia starts for them.

No Ogbonna which is a bonus as he’s been good for them this season. Is that rice at the back?
