West Ham 2-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

A few contestable decisions will give the simpletons something to strop over, but ultimately the manager isn't good enough, we can't defend and we have no composure or mental strength. If Cunha has a great game, might win, but that's our only hope.

We had a chance after the shambles at Brentford to act whilst there was time for a new manager to make a difference. We sleepwalked past that opportunity and will be relegated as a result. It didn’t have to be this way but Hobbs pride has done for us. Tonight was entirely predictable and avoidable but we chose not to. Nobody wearing a gold shirt played well tonight but on the bright side it must finally be the end of the road for GO.

Same shit different game. Can't defend set pieces, can't defend at all, can't control a game, can't take any accountability for a poor performance. He's clueless, let's get him gone. Sadly now we'll have more deflection towards the ref and probably give him some space. Another game where we could get points wasted. We are down and that has been inevitable since Palace.

That should be that I’ll concede VAR could easily have dug us out of a hole but we scored within a minute of the first call and missed a golden chance seconds after the first.
Some patterns continue and it’s why GAZ is a gonna, continuously conceding close after scoring is about 6 times it’s happened this season alone. Shows zero leadership and no organisation.
Subs seriously JRB and Guedes aren’t PL players and won’t do anything to salvage anything and do it proved.
Set pieces again just utter car crash stuff at the back, also try and do more not to concede so many like we did.
The ability to fall to pieces when it all goes wrong, numerous times West Ham got in behind us.
That starting defensive line up is unacceptable for a club 7 seasons in the PL with just 1 injury.
That’s more on you Matty and your abysmal recruitment.
Only thing we’ve got left to do is not go down in embarrassment. We’re gone as a PL side they’ve left it far too late to retrieve the inevitable decision should’ve come after Brentford but they were in a vanity project so didn’t do it.
Change of manager gives us a sniff nothing more, far to much mess to sought through before being able to pick up enough points.
Whilst we’re at all those utter clowns harping on about the tough fixtures well we’ve picked up a paltry 7 from the 5 “easy” games. Oh and there’s just 2 left before the un winnable stuff starts again.
At 1445 before the Arsenal game in August in my worst nightmares would I have us on just 9 points at this stage. It’s an utter shambles

When Newcastle were in trouble they shifted manager and reinforced around some key areas. We aren't likely to do both and already have some people pointing at how the next two games are winnable as a reason for hope.

Conceding goals at an alarming rate. The worst keepers in the league, basic errors that teams can see but we can't rectify. It's so depressing to be at this stage this early in the season.

Totally disenchanted with the club from GON to Hobbs to Shi.

I feel no love at all for the club due to the current incumbents who have managed in a short space of time to totally screw the club and the fans.

Frankly, I simply don't care and probably won't for a while now until we have some semblance of a reasonable ownership, management and head coach.

Yeah agree, the VAR decisions are what they are. Whichever way they went, we still would've found a way to lose that. Two poor teams, and still we looked the least organised.

I think he was trying to calm him down tbh, they had a couple of seasons at Nice together
I've known you for 15+ years, but if you were grabbing, holding and saying "calm down" to me when I'm 20 yards from the bloke I had a spat with I'd definitely have told you to get the fuck off me (and more) :ROFLMAO:

Best way to wind someone up? Tell them to calm down and hold them.

Worst thing about tonight is Lop's best buddy is going to increase his smug cuntness levels by a lot.

100% agree. Wish I lived in NZ so I had a good reason not to go on Saturday!

Will post in here too as the other threads getting closed.

1. Wasn’t a corner - given to them, they scored (yes, we were absolutely pathetic defensively again)
2. Guedes gets a shove/arm in the back. Pen not given, no overturn from VAR.
3. Bellegarde’s foot stepped on. Yes, you can say it would be soft, but the defender doesn’t get the ball & stands on Bellegarde’s foot. Anywhere else on the pitch it’s a foul. Not given.
4. 8 minutes extra time, balls in play about 30 seconds in the first 4 minutes, ref blows straightaway on 98 mins.

Yes, Gaz is shite - he’ll be sacked. A lot of the players are cowards and weak mentally. Lemina is a joke of a captain. But there’s no club in the country who just doesn’t ever get the rub of the green with VAR decisions bar us. We weren’t getting anything tonight. Then it transpires the ref is a fucking Leicester fan 😂😂

Pedant alert: think he played to 99 something. I remember being pissed off that I had to watch the additional.

Oh aye, it was never going to work, lemina was too far gone, but I didn't get the vibe it was meant antagonisticly. But then I always look for the best in people

Actually I've moved to Australia a few months ago - but still far enough away not to actually go and watch them.
