Welcome to Wolves Vitor Pereira

Given that the chances of us remaining in the Premier League were pretty slight when he agreed to take the job, I’d like to think, if he proves to be half decent, that he’ll stick around to try and get us straight back with whatever he has left to work with.

Can't see that happening. The squad will be totally raided upon relegation leaving us only with the crap we don't like and the lure of playing Millwall, Wycombe and QPR isn't likely to appeal.

Pity.

Can't say there's many I will miss tbh. Cunha, JSL, erm, that's about it.

Tbf we only had passive Max different last year and we went loads of games before we conceded from a set piece. Maybe he wasn't so passive after all?
He was extremely dominant in the air.

But also did have moments where he was day dreaming.

A very low key announcement. No word on the backroom team he’s brought with him?
They said the other day he was bringing several of his established staff with him including his long time assistant Luis Miguel 1000112689.jpg

Welcome Vitor.

Too much, too little, too late though.

I don't think the team is full of bellends and would be sad when it's time up for some of them, but is an indictment that football wise, most won't be missed when they inevitably pack their bags after getting the team relegated.

Just one thing on Pereira .

Yes - he did have success in Portugal , Greece and China , and people seem to be then comparing his last 10 years and describing them as failures . I'm not sure I agree .
We're not asking him to win us titles , we're just asking him - in the short term - to help us finish 17th or better .
He also has a track record of doing well with clubs that have limited resources - right now that is us .

Most definitely he is the best that we could have secured right now , in terms of who wanted to come . Klopp clearly is the slightly better option given that he is free , but methinks he didn't fancy it .

Bloody hell, you can't have been a happy Wolves fan down the years, there have been vastly more dislikeable teams who couldn't give a fuck and didn't have any talent either!
In fairness he’s only been following Wolves for 16 months, and the players did get him the sack in the end.

Nothing wrong with the players (with obvious exception of CB and GK) they've just been made to look like cunts by O'Neil. Any half decent manager will be able to get a performance out of them.

Semedo RAN Gomes Lemina Andre Cunha Larsen are all top half prem players. Sarabia maybe too with a decent coach.

I'm not sure that a huge number of players would leave as people here tend to believe , should we be relegated .

There are some who will have come to the end of their contract and will choose not to renew . I think some will stay - some that might surprise us - some of the more decent ones .

I think the only ones left will be ones we don’t want anyway or ones yet to prove themselves.
Good proportion of the squad have played most their careers in top divisions wherever that may be so will want similar levels.
Unlike yo yo sides who retain players because they know they’re at the correct level but we’re littered with players probably already sounding out their moves away.

Just been a piece on SSN live from the training ground, the reporter said that VP had the players working on lots of different drills and the players seemed to be responding well to him

Looking forward to his first PC later
