Welcome to Wolves Vitor Pereira

he enjoyed an evening meal in fiume after going to the swan as well, alongside most of his backroom staff, and j mendes' colleagues

I like Vitor, he is doing a good job even the games we lost we compered better played better

Just thought I'd stick VP's record up so far as he's had 11 games in charge now. Overall he's done well. Shored up the defence but kept us scoring. He clearly wants to play a certain way and attack teams but still has some degree of pragmatism. Hard to see him moving away from three at the back any time soon because of this.

Overall Record:
P11 - W5, D1, L5

League Record:
P9 - W3, D1, L5

Leicester (A) - 3
Man Utd (H) - 3
Tottenham (A) - 1
Forest (H) - 0
------------------
Bristol C (A) - W
------------------
Newcastle (A) - 0
Chelsea (A) - 0
Arsenal (H) - 0
Villa (H) - 3

Blackburn (A) - W

Liverpool (A) - 0

10 points from 9 games is not too bad when you consider the teams we've played in that run. There's only really Leicester who are considered a bottom half team in that lot. Maybe Man Utd and Spurs but they still have the players to beat you at any time.

I quite like him, I don't really know what he would do long term (everything is a bit of a sticking plaster at the moment) but that isn't a pressing concern, it's do what we need to over the next three months.

I'm pretty comfortable in saying that if he were in charge since August and we'd also signed Agbadou when Kilman left, we wouldn't be in any particular danger and you could probably call the bottom three right now.

I agree. I like him a lot. Not concerned about the long term picture, it’s all about getting through till May, now, for me.

GON has a lot to answer for.

If we’d played like today all season under VP, we’d be comfortably mid-table.

If we do go down then keeping O'Neil after Everton (a genuinely shambolic display, one of our 10 worst PL performances ever, easily) and throwing away games against West Ham (one place above us) and Ipswich (one place below us) in the process will go down as an absolutely MENTAL call.

I'm on board with the theory that they kept him to save face after handing him that ridiculous contract pre-season. If it's true, it's scandalous really. Compounding one clanger with another one, learning nothing from the Lage debacle.

I heard that They kept him on as they didn’t want to repeat the Lage fiasco of not having someone to take over. Makes the scenario even worse having a lame duck in charge rather make the correct decision for the good of the club.

That was pretty much how the media reported it. We amazingly put our permanent head coach in the caretakers role.

Amazed that didn't work and then the whole discipline of the playing staff collapsed

You could hear it in his interviews. 'Well whatever happens next at this football club it's my job to prepare them for the next game'.

We could have got Vitor any time we wanted. We chose to waste that time because er, you tell me.

Hobbs had the belief that he would somehow turn it around and Jeff wanted a Potter or a Moyes...but found out they come with a price tag so eventually had to make that call to Jorge again.

Every time I think of O’Neil my blood boils, I couldn’t stand him from day one but he was only half the problem, any other Club would have sacked him following the final game of last season, inexplicably the clowns in charge at Molineux gave him a new contract.

Very early days ofcourse, and his track record does give cause for concern with longevity, but I’m more than happy with VP over Potter and Moyes currently.

I’m pleased we’ve got a proper manager now rather than that joker but I can’t really warm to the guy for some reason.

Maybe it’s because I just don’t see him as a long term solution.
