I've been reading the story all week and despite knowing it was going to happen, a tiny part of me expected the deal to fall through. I'm glad my rational mind was right and my 'lifetime of supporting Wolves' cynicism was wrong! This kid is going to have the weight of expectancy on his shoulders, (who here doesn't already believe that he is instantly the best player in the Championship?) so we have to be patient and not expect miracles immediately. I do worry about him getting injured by some twat quite quickly though, I'm not sure NES will be happy with just him as the only addition to the middle of the park just yet. Suspect we have about 4 more decent signings to go yet.

I don't really get all the messages about what i've said. As i said its great that Porto lost a good player and i do want Wolves to do well (main reason im here, i like this club).

All i've done here is try to show you the other side of Mendes ways (which are real, just go read what Benfica fans have to say on our forum).

"O Jogo" (a newspaper close to Porto) said that its a 18M transfer fee. Maybe they made it up or maybe CMVM was notified. Anyway, Porto has not announced yet on their website so we dont really know.
