We definitely need an attacking midfielder who can contribute goals, far more than we need another CB.

You obviously don't turn down the opportunity to bring in Dias if he becomes available at the right price but I hope our priority lies with a midfield player now.

We're definitely in for Gedson Fernandes. I can't see us getting either now though. Benfica have no reason to deal at anything other than the full release fees.

I understand why we would want a player of the calibre of Dias but surely we are sorted defensively already?

Still time to go. We might just push the boat out and get both. I think Gedson is more likely than Olmo, but it seems pretty clear that Dias is someone we really REALLY want. I think we will activate his release clause.

The bit at the end of that video was taken from just after he’d scored and the AC Milan shouty man says Patrick and the fans say Cutrone and repeat several times. I like that about a lot of European clubs.

No-one is going to come here and be demonstrably fourth choice, particularly under a manager who next to never rotates the team unless he really has to. You're into the realms of Jordan Hugill style signings if you do that.

Webster is a good player. The wankers from Ashton Gate have maximised the value there. Been clear all summer about what it was likely to cost. Villa walked away, Brighton didn't.
