Welcome to Wolves Matheus Cunha

Ok, so we’ve gone from us dropping him because he may be going, to now him not wanting to play?

Goalposts ripped up and moved
Who knows what he wants? You started off with the assertion that he'd kick off if he didn't get to play based on absolutely nothing and I'm just offering an alternative.

Fair point.

What I’m getting at is the release clause. You’d think clubs will always try and get a player as cheap as possible. Not playing him, based on a decision made by us, rather than him would likely piss him off, and potentially lead to a club coming in under that.

Granted, we don’t know what he wants, etc.
If he’s said ‘I don’t want to play’ then I take
Your point

From conversations on here the majority seem to think there is potentially only 2
Or 3 real premier league options,
So the market isn’t potentially huge for him,
Just because with PSR it
Limits certain clubs spending etc

The clause is the price it is because his agent knows of at least one club that will pay it. I doubt he'll still be here much into June unless it suits one of the parties to make it a July 1st deal
I understand that. Well, you're assuming that’s why the agent requested that price. Based on current situation.

That can change if there’s a big falling out, as although that’s a release clause, I’m
Not sure Jeff would dig his heels in that much if Cunha had basically gone on strike.

It’s all ifs and buts, but I don’t see the huge point in not playing him, which is the main crux of the convo. Want to finish the season as well as we can. Momentum is a big thing, even from season to season

I'm not so sure there will such a list of top clubs clamouring to sign him, and that doesn't leave too many others who can afford the £62 mill.
I just don't think he will have anywhere near the choices he thinks he will, so i'd play him, and be ready ready to put a bit of an arm around him when his bid for superstardom takes a bump.
I'm sure Vic won't be pissed about by Cunha, it's a one horse race and only Vic is winning it.

He needs to play...he's leaving anyway, I want to win every remaining game, and he can play a massive part in that, and hopefully score a couple more great goals for our long-suffering fans.

Also, I'm not getting a ticket v Leicester just to watch Marshall tear aimlessly around the pitch 😛
