Welcome to Molineux - Grant Holt

I'd imagine KJ's thinking on this is using experience to stop the slide, rather than thrusting young, unproven players into troubled times. The latter could backfire horribly by a) not working, and b) potentially damaging the development of the youngster. Obviously the former could still backfire if Williamson and Holt don't help, but I can understand the reasoning for trying experience over youth.

Are Wolves on a slide, the level of performance against Middlesbrough was fine and if repeated would bring good rewards against any opponent in this division. The core problems havent been because of a lack of quality more so a lack of consistent team selection and clear tactical thinking.
This just smacks of panic where non is required.

In my opinion it does. I thought we we giving the youngsters the chance to prove themselves. So we bring in two 30 plus players in.

We were, in terms of the defenders but 3 of them got crocked. So the defender signing this week made sense as we have no one that they deem ready to step up from the U21's. Even if Stearman was still here we would have been looking for a loan defender.

Holt's signing is baffling though.

Did not see this coming. Time will tell if its a mistake. Afobe is not on song but.......

there is clearly a war going on inside Molineux between the powers that be.

Bright should be given a run out, not some cart horse.

Read in some article they think holt is match fit, but that we're covering his 30k a week wages which they wanted rid of.

Hope he does well obviously but not holding my breath, I really hope we're not paying him 30 grand a week. My main issue is why? we have two much better strikers already and as we seem to play best with one up front and two wide men with Edwards at number 10, not sure how he fits, would rather have seen Bright given some gametime. I'm not sure we have the rest of the personnel to play a style that would suit Holt but if he makes me eat my words then I'll be happy to.

Morgan says he is selling the club.
KJ immediately brings in two experienced older players.

Coincidence? I think not.

I think it's more the fact that we have injuries and have been shit.

We are effectively in show room mode though. Young and hungry requires team and planning. Readily available for cheap doesn't. I looked up Holt's wages and also read that Holt was on 8k a week, neither of those figures had any sort of evidence surrounding them so fuck knows. I am going to imagine that he was on a decent amount (maybe 8k) but had a substantial appearance bonus which might explain his time on the bench at Wigan.

Genuine question: how has he done the past two games?

Hardly touched the ball vs Blues. Cannot jump, he cannot get off the ground à la Robert Taylor.

sounds very much from comments on here like an elephant in a tutu.
