Watford Fan in Hospital

Nice gesture from whoever Wolves_Babble is on Twitter!

The gofundme site now gone past £14000 (only at £6000 when I bunged some in at about 11am) & a number of our fans contributing which is good to see.

Any amount of money won't compensate for what has happened, but hopefully eases any problems the family might experience as a result.

Fund has hit £20k and still rising. All we need now is for Mr. Cruwys to recover.

Not trying to diminish the donations in any way, but I struggle somewhat to see the nexus between getting beaten up, and being given lots of cash.

Seems a distinctly new phenomenon.

I guess it's the current way of showing we are not all uncaring twatholes.

While money won't put things right, at least him/his family will have one less worry while trying to put their lives back together

Suspect that there are limited ways that the rest of us can express our disgust at what happened, & whatever job he is in the family will have increased costs given that he is in hospital well away from home.

Merely a way of showing solidarity which eases others worries the family may have when they have this to deal with

I was talking about this on another site, my mother suffered an extremely serious aneurism in 2006, she was initially in a coma at our local hospital for around 2 weeks, until she was stable enough to be moved to the intensive care unit at the Radcliffe. She was in a coma, then a waking coma for 6 months there, then moved to a more local unit once she finally started to recover. The family run up a lot of debt then, not through loss of earnings, but mainly through travel and hotel costs and lots of little things like parking etc. This mans family will be desperate to be with him as much as possible, if the cash helps as many of them as possible to do that. Then it's well spent.

Bloody awful this is.
Pity the picture quality wasn't better. maybe the faces would have been a bit clearer.
You wouldn't want to rely on for a number plate or anything would you.

Hope he gets better and the bastards get caught.
Where is this?
Are there better pictures from cameras near where they went?

Outside Carvers between the car park on Falkland Street and the canal and railway bridges. That footage will get enhanced. Then the cowards involved are for the high jump.

I hope he makes a full recovery, but have zero sympathy for him.

The bloke is in a coma and has a wife and 2 kids waiting for him at home.

Yeah and? I've said I hope he makes a recovery and I feel for his family, but if you go out looking for trouble than you except the consequences.
