Well, I think today is some good evidence as to why we need a new centre half.

What a stupid rule. He’s offside when the ball is played!

I mean Toti needs to do miles better with the header but FFS, can we at least make them earn it?

Never heard that before. So because Toti got his head on it, it doesn’t matter that Salah was a yard offside?

If that is the rule it needs changing. Absolute bollocks, definite offside

It ain't the rule its complete bollocks. Toti plays the ball cuz Salah is running in behind. It's a joke.

This is the thing with him, isn't it? 99% of each match he looks perfectly fine, good even. But the 1% almost always results in a goal at this level and he's doing it every single match.
It was similar with his Neill Collins too, would play well for the 89 minutes then commit a howler, the similarities are frightening, just at a higher level.

Toti is not a professional footballer.

Despite some of the opinions here.

He would be out of place playing Sunday league.

The good news is that JL is seeing it in a cup game and won’t ever let him near a PL game again.

Indeed.

Although gets even muddier by the “intentional” word in rule. If Toti accidentally plays the ball then Salah is still offside… Because shit can’t be simple.

Centers checked their boxes, now it’s the fullbacks turn to gift some goals

It also suggests communication back there isn't great either.

Neill had more moments of magic to balance out the extremes a bit with some goals. Much lower standard on average though.

Like everyone else I think that is offside plain and simple. But we need a new defence, of that there is no doubt.
