Ukraine

Police have been called to the UK visa application centre in Rzeszow in Poland to calm the angry crowds.

It's a fucking shambles - Surely any woman, child under 18 or male over 60 can be issued with a temporary visa that would allow them access to the UK. That would allow them to be processed in safe conditions. It isn't the fault of the staff its the incompetents running the home office and the twat in charge of the country.

Im actually genuinely really proud of this country tonight.

We have opened a processing cnetre for Ukranian refugees in an old terminal at Dublin airport. It can process 400 refugees a day and is fully prepared to get Ukranians set up here with accommodation, healthcare and work.
Facilities include:

  • Getting a PPSN Number to access government public services like social welfare, housing, medical cards
  • Accessing an income support called Supplementary Allowance (SWA), which is payable at rates up to €206 per week with increases for adult and child dependants
  • Applying for Child Benefit if you are a parent or guardian of a child
  • Care packages including mobile phones, SIM cards and chargers, childrens clothes, toys, food
Ukrainians who have already arrived in Ireland will be issued international protection letters so they can access essential services faster.
Ireland also sent the largest aid convoy we have ever seen, to the Ukranian border yesterday. 20 trucks full of food, clothes, equipment, sanitary products etc.

Great to see how fast our nation has responded, and a bit of faith is restored in our Government at how easy they have made the process for refugees. We waived Visa's for Ukranians the day after the invasion and have now pledged to take in up to 100,000 in total, pledging homes and school places for them. Made me a bit emotional when I saw it on the news.

Ukrainian refugees arriving here to be given SIM cards

People fleeing from the invasion in Ukraine are to be given access to phone chargers and SIM cards when they arrive in Ireland.

At the same time we wont let loads in unless they are fruit pickers and the vicious bitch is on the phone to your government moaning that they can come over the Irish border her own governments shit Brexit deal left open. We are a fucking disgrace.
 
Make no mistake about it, that its extremely difficult for Ukrainian refugees to get to Britain, and that's assuming they even qualify, is not because of incompetence. It is without a shadow of doubt by design - a result of Brexit Britain.

Refugees won't need to go to a visa application centre. Instead they will be able to apply digitally, and give their biometric data when they get to the UK.

Good God, anything would think there’s a war going on…
 
Problem is that they have to apply in English and your average Ukrainian refugee's English may not be that good.....
 
And you still have to have Ukrainian family here. Otherwise no.
