Much like finding evidence of Russian interference in UK 'democracy', I doubt it's a case of 'can't', but more that there is no desire to do so...
 
I think we're just trying to find some legal justification for seizing rich Russians assets, I'm no legal eagle but I think the legitimacy of taking someone's money based on their nationality and possible association with that countries leader is a legal minefield, without clear links they are funding illegal war.

It's sounds the right thing to do, but the law doesn't just swing towards the common opinion at the time.

So change the law? They won’t because the people that should be having assets seized know too much about Tory funding.

Apart from the ability of Lawyers to make geological timelines look positively snappy, what exactly do you propose the law be changed to?
