Boly for me this season as well. Excellent tackling, aerial prescence and general coolness chewing his gum and seemingly hardly breaking a sweat.

Raul and Moutinho equally deserving though

Boly has generally been good but POTS? He gets sucked out of position slightly too easily for me.

*Alexa, remind me to ban Alan*...

I agree he's not POTS.

Moutinho for me, but I can't vote via Tapatalk.

He wins quite a few tackles on his little adventures though. Plus four goals.

But yeah, he can be a bit undisciplined, probably the heart speaking here as I really like him as a player. Just love it when he looks more than a little late going into a tackle and then somehow his leg is just sufficiently longer than you'd think it would be and he wins the ball. I've missed a few games as well this season too, so maybe my impression is a little bit skewed. So many good candidates to choose from though.

I went for Moutinho but it was really difficult to choose. I almost went for Jimenez, Coady, Jota and I think it speaks volumes that none of those are no-brainers! Raul in particular who is top class.

But for me, Joao Moutinho sums up this season perfectly. He's just an absolute class above what we're used to seeing here, he makes the game look so easy and is a phenomenal footballer. To have that calibre of player in a gold shirt is crazy when you think about where we've come from and how quickly we've grown as a club. And yes, I DO think it's important to keep saying this when we've suffered decades of plain averageness.

It's also why I get so bewildered by people saying this season has been anything less than unbelievable. Easily the best season I've experienced as a Wolves fan because we look like we've been in this league for ages, the players are buying into Nuno's vision, things look very healthy off the pitch, the club and the fans are closer than I can remember (yes, it helps when we win but credit where it's due) and we've had some incredible results.

We're only going to get better (we'll add to this excellent squad and some of the current crop will improve further) and watching Joao waltz around the pitch like he owns the place ain't a bad start to our time back in the Premier League.

Best player I've ever seen in a Wolves shirt.

Moutinho for me oozes class and skill - a great influence to younger players - I really look forward the maestro's corners and free kicks

I'm going to.say now if Jota had played like he is in the last 2 months for the entire season this vote wouldn't even be close. He has been phenomenal, especially the last couple of games. A year or 2 from now he could quite easily be regarded as one of the best players in the world. That's where his potential lies.

Agree with that. If he had played as he did against arsenal all season he might even have persuaded me not to vote for Coady.

There was something linked on this forum back in October or November that had Jota down as a Prem League flop. Think he has proven that to be a tad wrong

There was plenty of nashing and wailing over Jota earlier in the season even on here.

In terms of contribution as a forward some of it was fair. Obviously some was OTT but that is just the internet.

He did struggle early in the season, of that there can be no debate, mainly due to injury and being played in the wrong role probably. Now though...

For all the skills of Moutinho and Neves, for all the goals that Raul has scored, Jota has to be the one name on our teamsheet that frightens the opposition.

He was played in the exact same position he excelled in last season, some people were just happy to write him off after a few quiet games though.

He looked well off the pace for the first few games tbf. Got dropped but then came back with a vengeance. And how

Think he was carrying an injury wasn't he? Jota has pretty much always been first on Nuno's team sheet even when not fully fit.

The change of formation changed Jota's season. Had we stuck with 4-3-3 not a lot would have changed for him.
