Fair point Denny; my brother in law is still very close to the military in his work and, at least in the Navy, the Officer class is extremely uncomfortable with where this is all heading.
I don’t think there’s a single Officer in any branch who respects Hegseth, for a start. Disobeying orders is incredibly fraught, though. They have the right to disobey “unlawful orders”, but the burden of proof is on the disobedient soldier.
