Trump

From the article below.

Following Trump's reversal, EU imports
to America will be slapped with the
baseline 10% rate. Steel, aluminum and
cars will remain subject to a separate
25% rate.

In her statement, von der Leyen made
no mention of further countermeasures,
despite the bloc still being under the
10% rate. On Wednesday, EU countries
approved the first raft of counter-tariffs
against Trump's steep duties on steel
and aluminum

A spokesperson suggested the
retaliatory plans that the Commission
had been meticulously crafting would be
put on halt for the time being.

"The European Commission will now
take the necessary time to assess
this latest development,in close
consultation with our member States
and industry, before deciding on next
steps,' a spokesperson said.

He's basically a slightly less verbose version of Commandant Lassard from Police Academy. Every other sentence is "Very this, or many that".

No way of confirming, but seeing something about Trump saying they have sent US forces to Panama to "take back" the Panama Canal. Basically an act of war if true, surely?

If they do then it’s just another strategic and economic land grab.
It’s a bit like he’s playing a real life game of risk.

It’s a shame Starmer doesn’t tell him to get bent over bombing the Houthis, because at the moment the RAF are air to air refuelling the jets that are doing it, the US navy doesn’t have the capability to do it, US airforce uses a different system so they can’t do it, drogue and trap for the navy, extendable boom for the air force.

Trump sending the troops to Panama, perhaps he wants to relive the last time the USA won a war on its own, 1989 vs Panama ( obviously) to depose general Noriega

I can’t find any reports about the Panama Canal thing
