Trump

It's literally not even possible to build a wall. You're talking about thousands and thousands of miles of rough, rocky terrain and cliff faces. It's impossible to "build a wall". It's all hyperbolic BS.

Not voting is a choice. Not registering to vote is a disgrace. Especially when the first thing you hear post election includes the phrase middle aged whites $#@!ed us over followed by graphs that show how the 18 to 25 year olds voted. Apathy again from the future generation?

personally, i think your logic is flawed. i mean if someone choosing not to vote is ok with you, why is it essential they register? you might say they've limited their voting choice early, but it's hardly a disgrace.

as to the post election complaints, unless you directly connect en masse the people who didn't vote with the people who are complaining, your use of "especially" is a huge leap.

the non-voters may be as thoughtful as Penk, may have decided neither candidate represents them or what they stand for, may be apathetic, may feel too young for politics, and may not even have voiced any complaints, but let's just lump them all under the term 'disgrace' just to be on the safe side.

not sure if that's directed at me but please note my earlier post about people playing the victim. i mean i didn't liken you to lenin did i?

i made an analogy, you dismissed it and imo missed the point of it, so i explained it and now you understand my point of view. no need for the melodrama.

the point was about the available "choice" not about whether your paying for it or not, wasn't it?

I understood your point to begin with. I just disagreed with you.

Because not registering removes your voice. You can't win a raffle if you dont buy a ticket. Then when you don't win you really can't moan about it. Can't see how my logic is flawed there mate

Read my post about the reasoning Cyber. You can't win the raffle if the prize you want simply isn't available.

Absolutely. I would still want to vote myself personally, but I can understand why maybe large swathes of the US population didn't.

:D yeah, sorry if i was abrupt there.

and nevermind your right not to vote and your right to complain being ignored, just look at the choice and process. a media circus full of untruths, two billionaire candidates both of whom have demonstrated to different extent their own economies with the truth, both with allegations of criminality against them, allegations of vote rigging and often a result that goes against the popular vote, billions of $US spent/wasted on the charade so that the winning candidate can favour his 'sponsors' for the next 4 years. public manipulation at its finest.

i don't think it's just the US election this applies to either. to a lesser degree and in some areas to a greater degree (eg boundary manipulations, lack of representation of minorities) these things apply in many other elections. especially the lies.

Hillary isn't a billionaire despite her use of her public position to enrich herself.
There is no comparison to the FBI investigations of Hillary, and Trump isn't a criminal.
Trump has largely self funded and raised small donations. He is proud to be uninfluenced by any financial sponsors.

Despite that great point.

Clinton won 53-41% in <$30k
She won 51-42 $30-50k
Trump won 50-46 $50-100k
He won 48-47 $100-200k
He won 49-48 $200-250k
He won 48-46 $250k+

The ignorant lost, the good guy won.

The non criminal is due in court soon with regards to a massive scam scheme. He called it Trump University.

it doesn't remove their voice, only their vote which presumably they've given up willingly. they're still able to use their voice along with anybody else. it's only people like you who want to remove their voice by suggesting they have no right to complain. they have as much right as anybody else given they're affected in the same way as anybody else.

a raffle is imo a bad analogy, since if you offered them a chance of a prize if they turned up to vote, registrations would probably have gone up. the dog shit v cow shit is probably more representative of how a number of them see it.

i'm sure you spotted I wasn't picking on the Don in isolation and my point was to demonstrate a reasoned rationale as to why voters would choose not to vote, on the basis of fundamental flaws with the candidates. I think that point stands up.

and I wrote allegations of criminality not that he was a criminal.

as to the comment that the good guy won, i'm sure you believe that but i'm guessing that's also not an objective assessment. only time will tell. on the positive side i'm sure he'll act differently to how he came across on the campaign trail. whether large swathes of the US electorate will buy into unity after his divisive campaign is open to question. short term, probably not. i expect he'll need to have some 'successes' before he starts winning some people over. in this day and age of course 'success' doesn't even need to be real, illusory works just as well provided enough people are fooled by it.

Sorry. I just don't compute people moaning about an outcome they have an opportunity to influence yet they give up that opportunity by not registering. That is stupidity in my book. And stupid people tend to get what they deserve.
Example. Handbag left in full view in your car and it gets nicked. Stupid
Car left unlocked and it gets nicked. Stupid
Pick a fight with a boxer for no reason. Stupid
Give someone your bank pin code and wonder why your account is cleared out. Stupid
Fail to register to vote then moan that trump is president. Stupid

I wonder how many of those complaining about the result in the American election actually voted.

There are many people in the world who long for having a free vote, they must look on in amazement at the apathy over here whenever an election comes along.
