Is this a map of the real sizes of the countries (in red)?
I was reading about maps recently and especially about the way countries are misrepresented by actual size, for instance Greenland always appears massive, but in actual fact, Congo in South Africa is actually bigger than Greenland!
All to do with maps on walls and in books are flat but the world being round hugely distorts the sizes of countries at the top and bottom of the sheet. Imagine after all these years of looking at maps thinking places like Canada and Russia are absolutely massive.... and really they're just a bit big. Or very Biggly, but not as biggly as you always thought.
