Trump

Dont worry, the Democrats are on it.

Dont see how Trump survives this.

Fight Oligarchy speaking events with Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have had turnouts of 34,000 in Denver, 23,000 in Tucson, 12,000 in Greeley, Colorado, (population 108,000) in the last week. Hopefully, there is a groundswell of resistance to the orange buffoon and his Fascist supporters after all.

Larry Fink, CEO of Blackrock is a life long supporter of the Democratic Party and was accused by the Guardian of being guilty of destroying a large part of the Amazon forest, amongst many other things.
One side pretends they care, the other don't hide their intentions.

He also sits on the board of the World Economic Forum.

I have a lot of time for Ocasio Cortez, but she will get the same treatment as Corbyn got in the UK and will never get in to power, as her beliefs will be deemed to dangerous for the American way of life.

I wouldn't think the Democrats have anything worthwhile to say, they are as bankrupt politically as the Republicans are morally.

But this, this gives me some hope:

Unfortunately Sanders has about as much say in the party's strategy as I do with the Czech gymnastics team.

And all a third party would do is split the centre/left vote up and guarantee republican victory

A Sanders AOC ticket which I've seen mentioned would be absolutely destroyed. Enough of the American public were convinced that Harris was a Commie

You are all cynical fuckers with no belief that things can ever change! Every hegemony has its tipping point and it's downfall. I choose to have hope. 🤣

Its true though, the only way anyone is getting elected anywhere these days is on a vaguely right wing ticket (labour only had a majority due to the right wing split between the "Conservatives" and reform) I seriously fear for this country and Europe the next 10-20 years.

There also no way women were ever going to get the vote. There was also no way black people in America were ever going to get the vote, or even be able to ride on a bus or go to college. Or there was no way working people could be treated fairly by their employer until unions happened. There are a lot of changes that happen when people say they can't happen.

I don't think Bernie is suggesting he himself has a role to play if you actually bother to read it and interpret it properly. But you do you.
I was replying to Del, not you.

Tetchy bugger lately.

It's fucked now.

Look at what a supposed "left centre" government are up to!?

I certainly don't debate were fucked. With what Labour are currently doing I generally despair for what happens at the next election.

To beat the 'right wing polemic' there needs to be a plan and vision that appeals to the average voter, and also to the 'working class' that gets name-checked so often, but rarely actually considered seriously.

What plan and vision is there that can't be easily dismissed as 'woke'/commie/'radical left', and that isn't full of 19th century definitions or alienating lecturing, or predominately about fringe issues? Or that isn't just defined based on what it is against, rather than what it is for?

Genuinely would love to see one come into view sooner rather than later.
