At the same time we have 6 European countries in the Chinese Belt and Road initiative and a European minister meeting Chinese government officials in Munich yesterday, trying to do a trade deal with China.
It could be argued, we are making China richer, while asking the US to defend us.

What’s your thinking behind that? States leaving the Union, Civil war, just a general collapse in services, schooling and all the other stuff that runs a country
 
Tongue kind of in cheek, but we’re dangerously close to requiring military intervention on Musk specifically. And how will that go? I honestly have no idea. I can only hope that despite the President’s mandate as Commander in Chief, the Oath sworn by the USAF is to the Constitution, not the Presidency. The problem, obviously, is that in the eyes of MAGA, that will be a coup.

We’re holding a lit match over a powder keg. I don’t think people here are grasping just how close to the edge we already are.
 
I think they have been for a few years now, maybe excepting a gap for COVID. But the idea of it is so anathema to people in the West that we’ll probably never admit it.

China already is a global super power. It is supplying weapons to Russia, becoming wealthier because of the war.
The US have given Ukraine many billions in military aid, while China is helping Russia, but according to some the US are the bad ones. The UK and EU are continually enriching China, but asking the US to defend us. Only yesterday China was meeting European officials in Munich, for trade deals. The same ministers are criticising the US, forgetting that Ukraine would have fallen ages ago, if it weren't for US military aid.
 
Trump staffers sacked 300 people from the NNSA ( national nuclear security agency) then found out they were in charge of the nuclear weapons safety and maintenance, tried to contact them via email to reinstate them, and then found out that all the employees email access was cancelled immediately upon sacking, so are now trying other ways to contact them.

Tbf VAT is a terrible idea. One of the most regressive taxes. Think it was a condition of joining the EEC?
