Trump

That's a pretty shit master race it's got to be said

If this was happening in Belarus with Lukashenko trying to hold onto power you might accept that it was happening, but in Washington!

Down to Trump as without his incites then the mass would not have congregated or attacked in that way.

Only benefit is that this should be the end of Trumpism & hopefully the more rational element within the Republicans gathers their resolve & takes the party back.

Have no view on which way the USA should go apart from this is not it. At least there will be a more sensible President for the next 4 yrs (can't see him being able to do 2 terms)

Harris will be taking over for term two if they get elected

He incited so well that some lady died. I hope that is on his conscience whatever side of the ticket she was

CNN just spoke to a congressman currently inside Capitol Hill, waiting to go back to work, and he called Trump a "narcissistic psychopath" live on air.

And one of his GOP close sources also apparently said he was "out of his mind".

Twitter has also locked his account for 12 hours.

I think he's burnt all his bridges now. The entire country pretty much hates him now after tonight, other than his minority of batshit crazy fanatical followers. I think he'll be lucky to get away with living in the US for long after he's ousted in two weeks. It'll be interesting to see how many organisations go after him legally.

Not a day for the US to feel proud. Too early to know if it marks the end of trumpism, but the thousands of protesters will wake up tomorrow with exactly the same beliefs and with Hannity et al continuing to reinforce their warped views of patriotism, stolen elections, etc.

Fair to say we are witnessing the death throws of western hegemony - countries & people don’t look to the US or UK as an example of a better life anymore. The world in 30 years will look a lot different.

Whilst we have free healthcare and housing, and strict gun laws, plenty of people will still want to come here.
